摘要: A single crystal material is filled in a crucible, and the whole of the single crystal material is melted to contain doping impurities. A solid layer coagulated upward from the bottom of the crucible is rendered to coexist with a melted layer over the solid layer. The solid layer is melted from the upper side thereof while pulling the single crystal from the melted layer. The ratio by weight between the solid layer and the single crystal material at the start of pulling is adjusted, together with the ratio by weight between the grown single crystal and the melting solid layer. The single crystal is thus grown while changing the volume of the melted layer.

摘要: An apparatus for growing a single crystal having a crucible, two heaters arranged at the outside of the crucible and along the vertical direction, a heat shield placed at the outside of the heaters, a radiation shield for shielding the single crystal from the radiation heat, and an upper heat shield for preventing the upward heat, transfer of the heaters. In the apparatus, a melted layer and solid layer of raw material are formed in the upper and lower portions of the crucible, respectively. While melting the solid layer, the single crystal is pulled up. The lower portion of the heat shield is thinner than the upper portion. The ratio of the height to the diameter of the crucible is 0.85 or more. The melting amount of the solid layer is controlled in the pulling process according to the non-segregation condition in the variable-thickness melted layer method. The oxygen concentration of the pulled single crystal is controlled in the pulling process by adjusting the rotation speed and rotation direction of the crucible.

摘要: The present invention teaches an apparatus for pulling a single crystal, whereby a radial temperature gradient of a seed crystal and/or a neck is reduced to a minimum so as to inhibit occurrence of thermal stress and prevent induction of dislocations, thereby resulting in an improvement in dislocation-free rate of single crystals to be pulled in cases where a single crystal is pulled with a seed crystal and/or a neck being heated using an auxiliary heating device. The apparatus comprises a crucible to be charged with a melt, a heater located around the crucible, and an auxiliary heating device including a heating section which can be located so as to surround a seed crystal in a position near and above the melt, a transfer mechanism for withdrawing the heating section from a passing area of a single crystal, and a covering section to cover a clearance between the heating section and the seed crystal extending from the heating section.

摘要: To provide an electric pedometer of low cost which is not erroneously operated by an external force exerted to a pedometer case thereof without using an acceleration sensor of a special structure and without executing a signal processing for removing a disturbance by a software, a circuit board contained in a module containing portion of a pedometer case of an electronic pedometer is constituted by two sheets of a main board mounted with an electronic circuit element for executing a signal processing and a sub board mounted with an acceleration sensor. The sub board is formed by a flexible circuit board and is fixed to the main board by a fixing member having flexibility. Further, an electric connection between the sub board and the main board is carried out by soldering terminal region in a projected shape formed by partially extending the sub board of the flexible circuit board.

摘要: An information searching apparatus and method capable of producing good search results even in the case where specified search keywords are found separately on a plurality of documents. Upon receipt of a search request from a client, a first search process searches an index memory to find tentative search results. According to predetermined rules, it is determined to which group each tentative search result should belong. A second search process then searches documents at an upper hierarchical level in the same group, thus finding keyword hits in an upper-level document. A higher priority is then given to a group of documents in which the second search process has found keyword hits. Finally a list of locators is compiled and sent back to the requesting client to indicate the locations of relevant documents, where the locators are arranged in descending order of the display priority of corresponding groups.

摘要: A chronograph timepiece includes heart cams, a start-stop button, a reset-to-zero button, and a start-stop lever and a reset-to zero instruction lever operated by the start-stop button and the reset-to-zero button, respectively, for undergoing rotation around a common rotation center. A hammer operating lever rotates in a first direction when the start-stop lever rotates and rotates in a second direction when the reset-to-zero instruction lever rotates. When the hammer operating lever rotates in the second direction, a hammer lever causes the heart cams to be reset to zero by bringing hammer portions of the hammer lever into engagement with respective ones of the heart cams. When the hammer operating lever rotates in the first direction, the hammer lever causes the hammer portions to be disengaged from the heart cams.

摘要: To provide an electronic pedometer in which there is adapted such that a step number is counted by a walk motion of a user, and the step number is not counted by a motion other than a walk of the user. An electronic pedometer has a timepiece case, a signal processing part having been accommodated in the timepiece case, and an acceleration sensor and a slant sensor, which have been accommodated while holding their horizontal states. The signal processing part judges, in a case where the slant sensor has outputted a horizontality signal, whether or not an acceleration signal, that the slant sensor has generated in a horizontality time till a time at which it has thereafter outputted a slant signal, is a true walk signal, when there has been judged to be the true walk signal, it performs a walk addition and, when there has been judged not to be the true walk signal, it performs a signal processing so as not to perform the walk addition.
