    Abstract: A VBOOST generator includes, for example, a voltage regulator for generating a first power rail VX between the supply voltage VCC and ground. A clock generator is arranged to generate a clock signal oscillating between the supply voltage VCC and the voltage VCC−VX. A charge pump is arranged to couple the voltage VCC−VX to a first terminal of an on-substrate flyback capacitor during a first half-cycle of the first clock signal and is arranged to couple the voltage VCC to the first terminal of the flyback capacitor during a second half-cycle of the first clock signal. A pin is coupled to the substrate couples the voltage VCC+VX developed on a second terminal of the flyback capacitor during the second half-cycle of the first clock signal to an external bucket capacitor. A second charge pump is optionally included to increase the charging capacity of the VBOOST generator.

    Abstract: A circuit includes an inverter coupled between an input and an output. The inverter includes first and second pull-down transistors having control terminals coupled to the input, a pull-up resistor, and a pull-up transistor having a control terminal coupled to the input. The first and second pull-down transistors are coupled in series along a pull-down path extending between a first voltage supply terminal and the output. The pull-up resistor and pull-up transistor are coupled in series along a pull-up path extending between a second voltage supply terminal and the output. A hysteresis transistor has a control terminal coupled to the output. The hysteresis transistor is coupled to the inverter along a hysteresis path extending between the first voltage supply terminal and the pull-up path. A clamp circuit is coupled to the inverter along a clamp path extending between the first voltage supply terminal and the pull-down path.

    Abstract: A motor driver includes a low-side drive transistor, a comparator, a sense transistor, first switch, and a second switch. The low-side drive transistor is adapted to be coupled to a motor. The comparator is configured to determine a direction of a drive current flowing in the low-side drive transistor. The sense transistor is coupled to the low-side side drive transistor and is configured to pass a replica of the drive current. The first switch is configured to couple the sense transistor to the low-side drive transistor responsive to the drive current flowing in a first direction through the low-side drive transistor. The second switch is configured to couple the sense transistor to a ground responsive to the drive current flowing in a second direction, that is opposite the first direction, through the low-side drive transistor.
