Abstract:
The general field of the invention is that of display systems comprising an image projector and an associated display screen, the said display system being designed to be used by an observer situated at a given location, the said display screen comprising two transparent and substantially parallel faces, the said display screen comprising, on at least one of its transparent faces, a plurality of regularly distributed light-scattering patterns. The image projector according to the invention illuminating the screen under a plurality of angles of incidence determined by the position and the size of the display screen, the said angles of incidence being centred on a mean angle of incidence, the scattering patterns comprise at least one scattering surface oriented in such a manner as to diffuse the light rays having at least the mean angle of incidence in one or more directions corresponding to the said given location of the observer. Several embodiments are described.
Abstract:
The general field of the invention is that of helicopter cockpit display systems. The system according to the invention comprises at least a first mobile display screen. Depending on the mission and in order to optimise the vision of the external landscape, the mobile screen or screens are moved so that they are either in the field of vision of the pilot, or out of his field of vision. The symbologies displayed are adapted according to the mission and to the position of the screen.
Abstract:
The field of the invention is that of viewing systems comprising means for generating stereoscopic images, a viewing device comprising a projector and a semitransparent screen and a pair of stereoscopic glasses. The projector according to the invention comprises means arranged so as to project alternatively a first image emitted at a first wavelength and a second image emitted at a second wavelength different from the first wavelength. The pair of glasses comprises a first filter and a second filter, the first filter transmitting the entirety of the spectrum except a first narrow spectral band centered on the first wavelength and the second filter transmitting the entirety of the spectrum except a second narrow spectral band centered on the second wavelength.

Abstract:
The general field of the invention is that of display systems including an image projector and an associated display screen, said display system being intended for use by an observer situated at a specified location, said display screen having two transparent and substantially parallel faces, and said display screen having on at least one of its transparent faces a plurality of regularly distributed optical patterns. The image projector according to the invention illuminating the screen at a plurality of angles of incidence determined by the position and size of the display screen, and said angles of incidence being centered on an average angle of incidence, the optical patterns have at least one curved reflective surface orientated so as to reflect the light rays having at least the average angle of incidence in one or more directions corresponding to said specified location of the observer. A plurality of embodiments are described.
Abstract:
The field of the invention is that of viewing systems comprising means for generating images of a preset object and a viewing device comprising a semitransparent projection screen on which said images are formed. The viewing system according to the invention comprises a piece of eyewear comprising two eyeglasses, the first eyeglass transmitting said images and the second not transmitting them, both eyeglasses transmitting the exterior landscape. The first eyeglass may be passively obturated via spectral selection or polarization or actively via sequential selection.
Abstract:
The general field of the invention is that of hybrid viewing devices comprising several screens of different nature. The device according to the invention comprises a stack comprising three superimposed viewing screens of the same dimensions and means for generating and processing images, the first viewing screen being a transparent emissive matrix screen, the second viewing screen being a matrix screen with controlled transparency, the third viewing screen being a transparent emissive matrix screen, the second viewing screen being disposed between the first viewing screen and the third viewing screen so as to be able to block all or part of the image displayed by the first viewing screen and/or the third viewing screen, the stack of three screens thus being arranged so as to be able to display an image on its first face and an image on its second face, the two images being able to be identical.
Abstract:
The general field of the invention is that of head viewing systems for aircraft comprising a head support, a viewing device, a detection of posture of said head support, means for detecting the current heading of an aircraft and means for graphically generating said heading. The system according to the invention comprises means of control, display and selection of headings arranged so as: to display, in response to a first command, a second so-called setpoint heading and a third heading termed a “support heading” corresponding to the direction of the head support in a terrestrial reference frame, said direction given by the information arising from the detection of posture of said head support and the means for detecting the current heading; to replace, in response to a second command, said second heading by said third heading, said third heading thus becoming the new heading setpoint.
