摘要: Provided is a rubber wear resistance evaluation method including compressing and bonding a test sample of rubber with additional force to a circular circumferential surface of a rotation body rotated by a drive motor at a predetermined fixed position, holding the test sample in a state where movement of the test sample in a direction opposite to the addition force is always allowed, performing a wear test in which the test sample is worn, and using, at the time of evaluating wear resistance, an index based on at least one item out of two items including power required for driving and rotating the drive motor and a temperature of the test sample during the wear test, in addition to an amount of wear of the test sample.

摘要: A conveyor belt management system is capable of determining a suitable replacement period of the conveyor belt. Data of an amount of wear of an upper cover rubber of the conveyor belt installed at a use site is input into a server via an input unit. A calculation unit is configured to calculate a remaining service life of the conveyor belt based on the input data and, stored in a storage unit, a belt specification database and a tolerance range database in which a tolerance range is input in advance for the amount of wear per belt specification; and calculate an expected service life of the conveyor belt before use of the conveyor belt based on a correlation between a use condition and belt specifications of the conveyor belt used up until present, the use condition of the conveyor belt, and the specifications of the conveyor belt.

摘要: A method of recognizing a conveyor belt wear condition is provided. Relationships between an apparent compressive stress in a wear resistance test and surface roughness of a sample and between the surface roughness and amount of wear per unit frictional energy of the sample are acquired. A wear condition of an upper cover rubber is recognized based on an apparent compressive stress generated on the upper cover rubber at a use site, and a database is created based on the relationships. Alternatively, relationships between an average wear pitch calculated from the surface roughness and viscoelastic properties of the sample and between the average wear pitch and an actual amount of wear of the sample are acquired. A wear condition of the upper cover rubber is recognized based on the viscoelastic properties of the upper cover rubber of the use site and a database is created based on the relationships.

摘要: The present technology provides a conveyor belt. An upper cover rubber and a lower cover rubber are respectively disposed above and below a core layer so as to sandwich the core layer, which core layer is composed of a plurality of steel cords extending side by side in parallel. The outer diameter of the steel cords is not less than 0.35 mm and not greater than 6.0 mm, and the side-by-side pitch P of the steel cords is greater than 0.35 mm and not greater than 7.0 mm. The steel cords are embedded extending in the longitudinal direction of the conveyor belt.

摘要: Provided is a conveyor belt specification determination method. Severity of a use condition of a conveyor belt is categorized into categories. A database in which a permissible range of prescribed characteristics of an upper cover rubber, including wear resistance and cut resistance, for each of the categories is set is created; a degree of influence of representative rubber physical properties, which affect the prescribed characteristics, of the upper cover rubber on the prescribed characteristics is ascertained; a category is identified from the use conditions of the conveyor belt on the basis of the database; an appropriate range of the representative rubber physical property is identified for which the prescribed characteristics are in the permissible range in the identified category; and a rubber type for which the rubber physical properties are in this appropriate range is selected as the upper cover rubber.

摘要: The present technology provides a rubber composition for a conveyor belt. The rubber composition comprises: a rubber component containing butadiene rubber and/or styrene butadiene rubber, carbon black, sulfur, and a vulcanization accelerator; the glass transition temperature of the butadiene rubber and the styrene butadiene rubber being −65° C. or lower; the nitrogen adsorption specific surface area of the carbon black being 90 m2/g or less; the total content of the butadiene rubber and the styrene butadiene rubber being 50% by mass or greater relative to the content of the rubber component; the content of the carbon black being from 30 to 50 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the rubber component; and the mass ratio (sulfur/vulcanization accelerator) of the content of the sulfur to the content of the vulcanization accelerator being 1.5 or less.
