摘要: A side panel assembly for a passenger vehicle, includes a B-pillar made of fibre-reinforced plastics material, at least one further pillar made of fibre-reinforced plastics material and following in the rear direction, and a side panel made of fibre-reinforced plastics material and defining a portion of the skin of the passenger vehicle. According to the invention, to make it possible for a side panel assembly of this kind to offer high stiffness for absorbing operating and crash loads while being low-weight, to have a high surface quality, and to be economical to produce with short production times, the B-pillar includes a hollow pillar made of metal as a core element.

摘要: Longitudinal members for motor vehicles may generally include a supporting element that is releasably connectable to an energy absorption mechanism. The supporting element may typically include a joining zone that can be used to secure the supporting element to one or more chassis or drive components of the motor vehicle. The supporting element and the energy absorption mechanism may be comprised of fiber-reinforced plastic. More specifically, the supporting element may be comprised of a plurality of length portions having different fiber orientations. For example, a first length portion may have fibers oriented substantially parallel to a horizontal longitudinal plane about which the supporting element is positioned, whereas a second length portion between the first length portion and the energy absorption mechanism may have intersecting fibers oriented oblique to the horizontal longitudinal plane.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a protective apparatus that can be positioned along an underside of a motor vehicle and, in many cases, near a front or rear region of the motor vehicle. The protective apparatus may include an underbody made from fiber-reinforced plastic for protecting assemblies or components arranged above it against damage as a consequence of stone chipping or ground contact. Further, the underbody may have three-dimensionally structured regions for increasing its rigidity, and the underbody may be designed to absorb chassis and/or crash loads and may include integrated holders for movably attaching chassis links.

摘要: One example method for producing a component from organic sheets may comprise placing a first organic sheet and a second organic sheet next to one another to form a component preform, forming at least one overlapping joining zone by tacking the first and second organic sheets together with a connecting part in the form of a third organic sheet, transferring the component preform to a joining tool, using the joining tool to form a joined component by connecting the organic sheets through melting and compression in the overlapping joining zone, and consolidating the joined component at least in the zone of the overlapping joining zone.
