Abstract:
A plurality of projections in a transdermal administration device each include a columnar portion extending from a first surface of a substrate, and a tapered portion extending from a top of the columnar portion. A maximum angle of an apex of the tapered portion viewed in a direction parallel with the first surface is in a range of 10° or more and 30° or less, a ratio of a length from a proximal end to a distal end of the tapered portion to a length from a proximal end to a distal end of the projection as viewed in a direction perpendicular to the first surface is in a range of 0.45 or more and 0.75 or less, and a pitch (distance between centers of closest projections), viewed in a direction perpendicular to the first surface is in a range of 50 μm or more and 350 μm or less.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing an acicular body including a support substrate and a needle formed on the support substrate, includes: supplying a needle forming solution onto an intaglio plate having a recess that has a shape corresponding to the needle; disposing a film on the needle forming solution; compressing the needle forming solution from above the film such that the needle forming solution is moved into the recess; and removing a liquid component from the needle forming solution inside the recess such that the needle forming solution is solidified and that the needle is formed.
Abstract:
A drug administration device includes a substrate having a first surface, a projection extending from the first surface, and a solid drug. One direction that intersects with the first surface is a first direction, and one direction that extends along the first surface is a second direction. A groove serving as a receiving section is formed in the projection. The groove defines a cavity recessed in the first direction toward the substrate and extends in the second direction to open to a section of the peripheral surface of the projection. The drug is received in the groove.
Abstract:
A transdermal administration device including a first administration member including a first substrate and a first projection protruding from a first administration surface of the first substrate, and a second administration member including a second substrate and a second projection protruding from a second administration surface of the second substrate. The first substrate has an aperture, and the second substrate is positioned within the aperture when viewed in a direction perpendicular to the second administration surface.
Abstract:
A microneedle unit includes a microneedle having a facing surface that faces a puncture target and an adhering surface opposite to the facing surface, the microneedle having at least one projection formed on the facing surface, a recessed container which houses the microneedle and has an opening that surrounds the microneedle, a cover having a sheet form and being connected to the recessed container, and an adhering structure positioned between the cover and the adhering surface. Upon receiving a force, the recessed container is releasable from the cover with the microneedle being adhered to the cover via the adhering structure. The adhering structure has a first contact surface and a second contact surface. When the projections pierce the puncture target, the second contact surface comes into contact with the puncture target at a position outside the facing surface.
Abstract:
A microneedle includes a substrate, and projections which extend from a surface of the substrate. Each of the projections includes layers separated from each other in a direction in which the projection extends. The layers include a first layer which contains a polymer which is soluble in water and poorly soluble in oil and a second layer which contains a polymer that is soluble in oil. The first layer and the second layer are adjacent to each other and are formed in the order of the first layer and the second layer from the projection to the substrate.
Abstract:
A needle-shaped structure includes a needle-shaped projection and a support substrate supporting the projection wherein the projection contains at least a chitosan and an organic acid, places a low burden on a living body and is able to keep the microscopic form after puncture into the skin.
Abstract:
A transdermal administration device packaged body includes a transdermal administration device including an administration member housed in a container, the administration member having at least one projection protruding from a first surface of a substrate, and an outer package which houses the transdermal administration device and has a bag form including a front component and a rear component. The front component is positioned on a first surface side of the substrate, the rear component is positioned on a second surface side opposite to the first surface side of the substrate, and the front component has an opening member configured to be pulled open to open the outer package.
Abstract:
A transdermal administration device including an administering part including a substrate having a first surface, and at least one projection protruding from the first surface. The projection has a shape which extends along the first surface and includes one linear top edge which is located away from the first surface and has a first end and a second end, two primary lateral faces which share the one linear top edge and have lateral edges each individually connecting the first surface with the first end, and a secondary lateral face which has the lateral edges in common with the respective two primary lateral faces and forms one corner together with the two primary lateral faces. One of the lateral edge and the top edge on the primary lateral face form an obtuse angle, and the two lateral edges on the secondary lateral face form an acute angle.
Abstract:
An acicular body includes a support plate having a brightness of 5.0 or less, and a needle disposed on the support plate. The needle includes a tip formed to pierce a skin and a light transmission area which is located in an area including the tip and has a total light transmittance of 20% or more.
