    Abstract: An ion exchanger for a cooling system of a fuel cell system includes: a communicating pipe part with the two ends thereof configured respectively to be connectable to predetermined piping arranged in the cooling system, and including a substantially linear shaped first flow path; and a storage case including a second flow path configured such that, when a part of the coolant introduced into the communicating pipe part branches from the coolant of the communicating pipe part and flows toward the second flow path, such partial coolant, after introduced into the second flow path, is allowed to flow therethrough and join again the remaining coolant of the communicating pipe part, while ion exchange resin is stored in the second flow path, wherein an introduction device for introducing the coolant into the second flow path is arranged in the inside of the communicating pipe part.

    Abstract: A fuel cell stack includes a stack; a case that accommodates the stack; and end plates arranged in the outside of a stacking direction and formed with fluid flow path holes penetrating in the stacking direction an accommodating groove for accommodating a seal member for sealing a part between the accommodating groove and the case. The end plates have a metal member formed with the fluid flow path holes, a first recess and a second recess that continues to the first recess, and a resin layer that continuously covers an inner peripheral wall surface of the fluid flow path holes, a surface that faces the stack, a part that includes at least an outer peripheral side end in the first recess, and the second recess, in the metal member. The resin layer is formed with the accommodating groove in a surface corresponding to the end surface of the case in a part covering the part that includes at least the outer peripheral side end in the first recess. The second recess accommodates a part of the resin layer to restrict the resin layer.

    Abstract: A battery pack comprises: a battery holding member provided to have battery holding holes and configured to bind a plurality of batteries; a first bus bar arranged to electrically connect with terminals on the first side of the respective batteries; a second bus bar arranged to electrically connect with terminals on a second side in the axial direction of the respective batteries; a bus bar holding member configured to hold the second bus bar and constitute a wall surface on the second side of the casing; and a sealing sheet member configured to have a plurality of terminal exposing holes formed corresponding to the respective batteries and cause peripheries of the respective terminal exposing holes to come into contact with the end faces of the respective batteries, so as to prevent leakage of a gas from inside of the casing toward the second bus bar. The sealing sheet member has a deformation dividing part provided around at least part of the plurality of terminal exposing holes.

    Abstract: A resistance connecting device includes a case inside of which a chamber is formed. The chamber includes inside an activating unit, a gas generating unit, a first connecting portion, and a second connecting portion. The first connecting portion and the second connecting portion extend from the inside to the outside of the case in a mutually separated state and are exposed in the chamber. The activating unit is held at a first position that does not cause contact with either of the connecting portions when the gas generating unit has not been activated and moves up to a second position to cause contact with both of the connecting portions as a result of activation of the gas generating unit. The activating unit, at the second position, functions as a resistor having a predetermined electrical resistance, and connects the connecting portions to one another.

    Abstract: A bus bar holding member comprises a plurality of bus bars arranged to connect terminals of respective batteries in each battery array group in parallel, and a resin support member comprising a resin stacking section which is stacked on a surface of the plurality of bus bars and a resin intervening section which intervenes between the plurality of bus bars to electrically insulate the plurality of bus bars from each other. The bus bar comprises a base plate on which the resin stacking section is stacked, and a jagged edge formed along an edge of the base plate. The jagged edge is formed in a wavy shape crossing a reference line, which is a straight line along an array direction of the batteries in each battery array group between an adjacent pair of the battery array groups.

    Abstract: A conduction-breaking device breaks conduction between a pair of devices in an electric circuit. The conduction-breaking device includes a conductive body having a cuttable portion, an arc-extinguishing chamber having a pair of fixed blades, a gas generator, a cutting member having a pair of movable blades, and a deforming mechanism. When the cuttable portion is cut at two positions by the fixed blades and the movable blades, the cuttable portion forms a separated piece, which is separated from the electric circuit, and first and second remaining portions, which remain connected with the electric circuit. The separated piece has cut ends at opposite ends. The deforming mechanism deforms the separated piece such that the cut ends of the separated piece are located on a leading side in a moving direction of the cutting member with respect to a part of the separated piece between the cut ends.

    Abstract: A battery module includes a battery group configured of a plurality of cylindrical batteries, a holder configured to retain the battery group so that the respective batteries are bundled in parallel to each other, and a casing being closed by the holder and including a storing space for housing the battery group. The casing includes an opposing wall portion facing the holder, and the opposing wall portion includes hole portions that retain the batteries by peripheries or inner circumferential surfaces of the hole portions. The battery module also includes guiding portions formed on the peripheries or the inner circumferential surfaces of the hole portions that are configured to guide the batteries into the storing space within the casing by causing the batteries to come closer to centers of the hole portions, such that central axis lines of the batteries pass through the centers of the hole portions.
