    Abstract: A driving assistance apparatus is configured to perform an assistance control of assisting in driving a vehicle, when a first condition and a second condition are satisfied, in a situation in which a target is recognized. The driving assistance apparatus is provided with: a determinator configured to determine a state of the assistance control. The determinator is configured (i) to determine that the state of the assistance control is a standby state if a standby condition is satisfied, wherein the standby condition requires that the first condition is satisfied, but the second condition is not satisfied, in the situation in which the target is recognized, and (ii) to determine that the state of the assistance control is an interruption state if an interruption condition is satisfied, wherein the interruption condition requires that the first condition is no longer satisfied while the satisfaction of the standby condition is continued.

    Abstract: A vehicle control apparatus comprises a sensor that obtains object information on an object that is present in front of a vehicle; a regenerative brake device that applies a regenerative brake force to a wheel; a friction brake device that applies a friction brake force to the wheel; and a control unit that performs a deceleration control to control at least one of the regenerative brake device and the friction brake device, when an execution condition is satisfied, in such a manner that a total of the regenerative brake force and the friction brake force becomes equal to a target brake force. The control unit is configured to make a maximum regenerative brake force smaller when a friction condition is satisfied than when the friction condition is not satisfied. The friction condition is satisfied when it is predicted that the target brake force will become greater than a predetermined force.

    Abstract: A vehicle driving assistance apparatus executes a deceleration assistance control of autonomously applying a braking force to an own vehicle to decelerate the own vehicle, and a coasting control of causing the own vehicle to coast. The apparatus executes the coasting control when a predetermined coasting condition becomes satisfied in a situation where the apparatus does not detect a deceleration target which creates a need to decelerate the own vehicle. The vehicle driving assistance apparatus executes the deceleration assistance control when the apparatus detects the deceleration target in a situation where the predetermined coasting condition is not satisfied. The apparatus determines whether to execute the coasting control depending on driving operation information on a driving operation carried out by an operator of the own vehicle when the apparatus detects the deceleration target in a situation where the predetermined coasting condition is satisfied.

    Abstract: A deceleration assistance device including: a target information acquisition unit for acquiring information of a target located in front of a vehicle; a position estimation unit for estimating an estimated position of a deceleration object; a position recognition unit for recognizing a position of the deceleration object; and a control unit for executing, based on the estimated position, first deceleration control of decelerating a vehicle at a first deceleration and executing, based on the recognized position, second deceleration control of decelerating the vehicle at a second deceleration. The control unit executes processing of gradually changing a deceleration of the vehicle from the first deceleration toward the second deceleration when the deceleration control is caused to transition from the first to the second deceleration control, and when a difference exists between the first and second deceleration.

    Abstract: A driving support system detects a deceleration object ahead and starts deceleration assistance for a host vehicle. The driving support system includes a reliability calculation unit configured to calculate a reliability of detection of the deceleration object, an assistance mode selection unit configured to select an assistance mode of the deceleration assistance from among multiple assistance modes in accordance with the calculated reliability of detection, and a driving support unit configured to perform the deceleration assistance in the selected assistance mode.     Abstract: A vehicle control apparatus is provided with: a specifier configured to specify an object toward which a host vehicle goes; an arithmetic operator configured to arithmetically operate an erroneous stepping risk on the basis of a type of the object; and a suppressor configured to perform a suppression control of suppressing a driving force of the host vehicle when an operation amount condition determined in accordance with the erroneous stepping risk is satisfied. An upper limit of the erroneous stepping risk for an object which do not collide with the host vehicle is set small in comparison with an upper limit of the erroneous stepping risk for an object which may collide with the host vehicle. The suppressor moderates an extent of suppression of the driving force in the suppression control when the erroneous stepping risk is low, in comparison with when the erroneous stepping risk is high.
