摘要: The invention relates to a system and method for assisting a driver in driving a vehicle. First it is determined which part of a traffic scene is perceived by the driver and information on an environment of the vehicle is obtained. Then an area of the environment of the vehicle that is relevant for judging if the future trajectory may be used safely is determined and is generated and output. Based on the signal a warning is output to the driver or the vehicle is prevented from move further until the part of the traffic scene that is perceived by the driver can be determined to cover the traffic in the relevant area.

The in-vehicle system categorizes detected lane markings as one of standard frequency dashed lane markings, high frequency dashed lane markings, and solid lane markings, and identifies an exit-only lane and a shared exit lane in response to the categorizations of the detected lane markings and characteristics of the detected arrows.

摘要: A host vehicle includes a combustion engine configured to provide a propulsion torque to satisfy a propulsion demand. The vehicle also includes at least one sensor configured to detect a position of a reference vehicle. A vehicle controller is programmed to determine a path between a current host vehicle location and an upcoming intersection. The controller is also programmed to forecast a path clearance time at which the host vehicle is able to traverse the intersection in response to sensor data indicating the reference vehicle moving within the path ahead of the host vehicle. The controller is further programmed to deactivate the engine prior to a host vehicle stop based on the path clearance time being greater than a time threshold.

摘要: The present disclosure provides autonomous vehicle systems and methods that include or otherwise leverage a machine-learned yield model. In particular, the machine-learned yield model can be trained or otherwise configured to receive and process feature data descriptive of objects perceived by the autonomous vehicle and/or the surrounding environment and, in response to receipt of the feature data, provide yield decisions for the autonomous vehicle relative to the objects. For example, a yield decision for a first object can describe a yield behavior for the autonomous vehicle relative to the first object (e.g., yield to the first object or do not yield to the first object). Example objects include traffic signals, additional vehicles, or other objects. The motion of the autonomous vehicle can be controlled in accordance with the yield decisions provided by the machine-learned yield model.

摘要: A driving assistance apparatus includes a plurality of sensor devices and at least one electronic control unit. The electronic control unit estimates a linear path of a finite length extending in a traveling direction of a host vehicle as an expected path. The electronic control unit determines whether or not a target object that is an object having a possibility of crossing the expected path within a threshold time period is present, and determines whether or not a traffic situation estimated to hinder traveling of the target object occurs. The electronic control unit generates a driving assistance request signal when the electronic control unit determines that the target object is present and that the traffic situation does not occur, and forbids generation of the driving assistance request signal when the electronic control unit determines that the target object is present and that the traffic situation occurs.

The processing unit is configured to receive, via the communication interface, a route of a prioritized vehicle and determine, in conjunction with the location module, whether a route of the autonomous vehicle intersects the route of the prioritized vehicle. The processing unit is configured to adjust, using the drive mechanism, one or more of a direction or a speed of the autonomous vehicle based on the determination.
