    Abstract: A driving assistance apparatus includes an estimator and a controller. The estimator estimates a first estimated vehicle speed and a second estimated vehicle speed when there are a first deceleration target and a second deceleration target in a course ahead of a vehicle, and when a driver of the vehicle releases an accelerator pedal. Wherein the first estimated vehicle speed is an estimated vehicle speed of the vehicle at a first target position corresponding to the first deceleration target, and the second estimated vehicle speed is an estimated vehicle speed of the vehicle at a second target position corresponding to the second deceleration target. The controller controls the vehicle to automatically decelerate toward the second target position when the first estimated vehicle speed is greater than a first predetermined value, and when the second estimated vehicle speed is less than a second predetermined value.

    Abstract: A vehicle deceleration assistance apparatus executes a deceleration assistance control to assist a deceleration of a vehicle before the vehicle arrives at a deceleration assistance target point to turn left or right. The apparatus executes the deceleration assistance control of a first level as a deceleration assistance level of assisting the deceleration of the vehicle when first and second conditions are satisfied. The first condition is a condition that a target point distance between the vehicle and the deceleration assistance target point is equal to or shorter than a predetermined distance, and blinkers are activated. The second condition is a condition that the blinkers activated for changing traffic lanes continues being activated. The apparatus executes the deceleration assistance control of a second level lower than the first level until a predetermined time elapses since the first condition becomes satisfied while the second condition is satisfied.

    Abstract: A driving assistance apparatus performs a stop control of stopping a host vehicle so that a following distance between the host vehicle and a stopped vehicle, which is ahead in a course of the host vehicle, approaches a target following distance. The driving assistance apparatus is provided with: a setting device configured to set the target following distance smaller, if an operation speed is less than a predetermined speed, in comparison with that if the operation speed is greater than the predetermined speed when one of an acceleration off operation and a brake off operation is performed, or when one of an accelerator opening degree corresponding to an operation amount of an accelerator pedal and a brake opening degree corresponding to an operation amount of a brake pedal is less than or equal to a predetermined opening degree, while the stopped vehicle is recognized.

    Abstract: A driving assistance device that assists in driving a vehicle that travels toward a traffic light with an arrow signal includes a recognizing unit that recognizes lighting of the arrow signal and a travelable direction, based on a detection result of an external sensor for sensing an external environment of the vehicle, and an assisting unit that performs first assistance including at least one of speed-reduction assistance for reducing the vehicle speed and informing assistance for prompting speed reduction of the vehicle, when the recognized travelable direction of the arrow signal is different from an expected traveling direction of the vehicle. When lighting of the arrow signal is recognized by the recognizing unit, and the travelable direction of the arrow signal is not recognized by the recognizing unit, the assisting unit performs second assistance having a smaller degree of assistance than the first assistance, until the travelable direction is recognized.

When transition to the second situation occurs without execution of a lane change after the control device enters the state in which the start of the driving support is possible in the first situation, the control device holds the state in which the start of the driving support is possible until a second time point that is one of: a time point when a predetermined time has elapsed from a first time point that is a time point when the transition to the second situation occurs; or a time point when the own vehicle has traveled over a predetermined distance from the first time point.
