    Abstract: A heat exchanging device includes: a heat exchanger configured to perform heat exchange between first operating oil used in an engine and second operating oil used in a fluid transmitting device and an automatic transmission; and a heat exchanging amount decreasing unit configured to, when a temperature of the second operating oil is lower than a predetermined temperature at which it is allowed to engage a lock-up mechanism, decrease a flow amount of at least one of the first and second operating oil flowing in the heat exchanger as compared to a case in which the temperature of the second operating oil is not lower than the predetermined temperature.

    Abstract: A heat exchanger includes a plurality of plates that is stacked together to constitute first flow passages, second flow passage, third flow passage, fourth flow passage and fifth flow passage. An engine coolant flows through the first flow passages. An engine oil flows through the second flow passages and fourth flow passages. A transmission oil flows through the third flow passages and fifth flow passages. Triple-flow-passage arrangement layers in each of which each first, second, and third flow passages are disposed, and dual-flow-passage arrangement layers in each of which each fourth and fifth flow passages are disposed are alternately arranged such that flow passages of each same type are not overlaid with one another in a stacking direction of the plates.

    Abstract: A heat exchanger includes first, second, third, and fourth passages. Engine coolant flows through the first passages. Engine oil flows through the second passages. Transmission oil flows through the fourth passages after flows through the third passages. Each first passage and each third passage is disposed in the same layer. Each second passage and each fourth passage is disposed in the same layer. Each first and each third passage are disposed in a different layer from the layer of each second and each fourths flow passage. Each fourth passage is disposed upstream of a first flow direction of the engine coolant in each first passage, and each second passage is disposed downstream of the first flow direction. Each third passage is disposed upstream of a second flow direction of the engine oil in each second passage, and each first passage is disposed downstream of the second flow direction.

    Abstract: A transaxle includes a planetary gear reducer and a differential device. The planetary gear reducer includes a stepped pinion, a first needle bearing, a second needle bearing, and a carrier. The stepped pinion includes a pinion shaft with which a large diameter pinion and a small diameter pinion are integrated. The first needle bearing is fitted to a part of the pinion shaft outside the large diameter pinion. The second needle bearing is fitted to a part of the pinion shaft outside the small diameter pinion. The carrier is configured to support the stepped pinion via the first needle bearing and the second needle bearing such that the stepped pinion is rotatable with respect to the carrier, and to couple the stepped pinion and the differential device.

    Abstract: The selectable one-way clutch includes a pocket plate, a notch plate, a cover plate, and plate-like struts. A one end portion of each strut is provided with an engagement surface and a projecting portion. Each strut comes into an erect state in which the engagement surface of the strut erects from the other surface of the cover plate toward the notch plate side. The selectable one-way clutch moves the notch plate in the axial direction to change a distance in the axial direction between the pocket plate and the notch plate, thereby carrying out switching between an out-of-engagement state in which the erecting struts cannot contact with the notches and a one-way clutch state in which the erecting struts can contact with the notches.

    Abstract: A cooling apparatus for a hybrid vehicle is provided with an oil circulating circuit supplying oil discharged from an electric oil pump to a first motor, a second motor, an inverter, and a lubrication-required part, and the oil circulating circuit includes: a first circuit supplying the oil that is discharged from the electric oil pump, and is cooled by an HV radiator to the inverter, the first motor, and the second motor; and a second circuit supplying the oil that is discharged from the electric oil pump without being cooled by the HV radiator to the lubrication-required part.
