摘要: An EGR control device is provided in a branched-off pipe portion of a recirculation pipe unit. The EGR control valve is opened during an exhaust gas recirculation period, which is a part of a valve-opening period of an intake valve, so that exhaust gas is re-circulated into a combustion chamber during the exhaust gas recirculation period. As a result, swirl flow of the re-circulated exhaust gas to be formed in the combustion chamber is increased to improve ignitionability and to facilitate combustion of air-fuel mixture.

摘要: A motor-operated valve assembly has a housing, a motor, a driving force transmission means and a valve member. The housing has a fluid passage therein. The motor is installed in the housing. The driving force transmission means has an output rotor rotatably supported by the housing and transmits a driving force of the motor to the output rotor. The valve member is supported by the housing between the motor and the output rotor to be slidable in an axial direction thereof and engaged with the output rotor so that the output rotor slides the valve member to open and close the fluid passage.

摘要: A valve device includes a control valve for manipulating a communication between a first fluid channel and a second fluid channel. The valve device further includes a pressure sensor for detecting pressure in the first fluid channel. The pressure sensor is provided on a side face defining the first fluid channel. The pressure sensor has a pressure detection face directly opposed to the first fluid channel. The pressure detection face is substantially in parallel with a first axis of the first fluid channel.

摘要: An air control device is advantageously used as a device for supplying secondary air to a catalyzer contained in an exhaust pipe of an internal combustion engine. The air control device includes an electric motor, a speed reduction mechanism, a valve having a valve shaft and a biasing spring. These components are all contained in a housing that has a valve port formed therein. The valve is driven to open the valve port by the electric motor against a biasing force of the biasing spring. A rotational movement of a final gear in the speed reduction mechanism is converted into a linear movement of the valve shaft to thereby open the valve port. Since the biasing spring such as a torsion spring is wound around a flange connected to an axis of the final gear, a length of the valve shaft is made short, and the device as a whole is made compact.

摘要: A secondary air pressure detecting apparatus includes a solenoid valve and a pressure sensor. The solenoid valve defines a secondary air passage that introduces secondary air from the air pump into the exhaust system of an engine. The solenoid valve opens and closes the secondary air passage. The pressure sensor is integrally mounted to the solenoid valve to detect pressure of secondary air in the solenoid valve. The solenoid valve includes a coil assembly and magnetic members. The coil assembly includes a solenoid coil that generates magnetic force when the solenoid coil is energized. The magnetic members construct a magnetic circuit with the solenoid coil. The magnetic circuit is arranged outside of the secondary air passage. The pressure sensor is arranged on an opposite side of the secondary air passage with respect to the magnetic circuit.

摘要: In a process wherein a slurry of water-containing coal and a solvent is heated to 100.degree.-350.degree. C. and then subjected to vapor-liquid separation by which water vapor is separated from the slurry to obtain a dehydrated slurry, a slurry to be dehydrated is mixed with a part of the dehydrated slurry and then heated. The dehydrated slurry thus obtained is suitable for use as a starting material for the hydrogenolysis of coal.

摘要: An exhaust gas guide member is provided to an airflow control valve varying an opening area of an intake passage. The exhaust gas guide member forms an exhaust gas passage which introduces the exhaust gas flowing from the exhaust gas introducing portion into the intake pipe toward an opposite end of the airflow control valve relative to the valve shaft. Thereby, the exhaust gas flows together with an intake air flow of high velocity generated by the airflow control valve so that a tumble flow can be generated in a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine.

摘要: A fluid-controlled valve includes a housing, a valve, and a sealing member. The housing has an annular valve seat, which has a fluid passing hole therein. The valve sits on or is separated from the valve seat to close or open the fluid passing hole respectively. The sealing member is attached on the valve. The sealing member has a sealing lip, which is closely attached to the valve seat while the fluid passing hole is closed by the valve, to seal a gap between the valve seat and the valve. The sealing member has a load receiving portion, which contacts the valve seat while the fluid passing hole is closed by the valve, in addition to the sealing lip.

摘要: The electromagnetic valve has an electromagnetic actuator for operating a valve. The electromagnetic actuator has a movable core that reciprocally moves in an axial direction. A stator core has an attracting portion. The attracting portion has a conical portion that is defined by a uniform diameter inner surface and an outwardly inclined outer surface. The outer surface has a smaller diameter at a position closer to an initial position of the plunger. Therefore outer diameter of the conical portion is increased in an attracting direction of the plunger. Moreover, increasing rate of the outer diameter is decreased in the attracting direction. Therefore the outer surface has a greater inclination angle at a position closer to an initial position of the plunger.
