In one example embodiment, a method for starting a combined cycle power generation system is provided. The system includes a gas turbine and a steam turbine. The method includes loading the gas turbine at a loading rate that is facilitated to be at an increased loading rate, setting a first predetermined value for a bypass pressure set point for high-pressure steam, and increasing the first predetermined value to a second predetermined value at a predetermined rate.

    摘要: A fire control system comprises a platform (10) rotatable in azimuth on which are mounted a gun (11) first and second sighting devices (15,25) each of which is movable in elevation, each sighting device (15,25) having its sight line nominally aligned with the barrel axis of the gun (11), the first sighting device (15) incorporates a lens (39) defining the sight line thereof, a graticule (41) defining an alignment mark and a mechanism (19,20) coupled to the lens (29) for alignment adjustment. Gun (11) comprises a muzzle reference mirror (12) and the first sighting device (15) incorporates a direction-finding means which is arranged to enable the position of an image in the muzzle reference mirror (12) to be identified with respect to the alignment mark of the graticule (41), the mechanism (19,20) being operable to effect alignment of that mark with the image seen in the muzzle reference mirror position. Mechanism (19,20) further comprises signal-generating sensors (21,22) arranged automatically to provide alignment adjustment identification signals which are processed to provide an electronic graticule in the second sighting device (25) so that the sight line of the second sighting device (25) is automatically aligned with the sight line of the first sighting device (15).

    摘要: A gun fire control system comprises a computer (15) having a first memory (15A) preprogrammed with true range to standard ballistic range conversion data and is operable on receipt of a true range value from a rangefinder (16) to output the corresponding standard ballistic range value. A second memory (15B) of the computer (15) is preprogrammed with correction coefficients (A,B,M,N) arranged in sets pertaining to different types of ammunition one set being operable according to the position of a selector switch (13) and being delivered to a calculator (15C) together with an operator correction value (COR) (from buttons 14A, 14B) which is a judgment on the magnitude and direction by which a projectile misses a target sighted according to the range value presented at display (11). Calculator (15C) operates according to a predetermined algorithm to establish parameter correction changes (.DELTA.AD, .DELTA.CT) and delivers these changes to calculator/store (15D) which updates and stores parameter values (AD, CT). An arithmetic unit (15F) evaluates a range correction factor from the data available from memory (15B) and unit (15D) at the ballistic range established by memory (15A). This range correction factor is combined with the ballistic range established by memory (15A) in unit (15G) and the corrected ballistic range made visibly available in display (11) to the operator. To establish initial values of the parameters (AD, CT) for use in a system restart mode when elapsed time between consecutive operations of the rangefinder (16) exceeds a preset value high and low operator correction averages (HCOR, LCOR) are evaluated on each operation of the system and stored in memory (15E).

    摘要: In a system (10) comprising a trunnion-mounted aiming device (11) and a trunnion-mounted sighting device (14) interconnected by a tracking link (13) and having an associated visual display (16) providing an image of the field of view containing the sight line (15) of the sighting device (14) there is provided a means of accurately positioning an aiming mark designating the pointing direction (12) of the aimed device (11) in the visual display (16). This positioning arrangement is provided by an elevation sensor (18) associated with the aimed device (11), an elevation sensor (19) associated with the sighting device (14), an electronic indicator mark generator (28) and an electronic processor (20), the latter being operable according to the measurements from the sensors (18,19) to deflect the mark generated by the generator (28) so as to compensate in the elevation axis for backlash and inertia of the link (13) and in the traverse axis for lack of parallelism of the trunnion mountings of the devices (11,14). The indicator mark may be generated by a CRT (28,40) in relation to which the processor (20) controls the X and Y drive circuits. Alternatively the processor (20) may generate video bright-up pulses in the raster scan of a scanned raster device forming part of the visual display (16).
