摘要: An electrode for a lithium-ion secondary battery includes a collector of copper or the like, an electrode material layer being form on one surface and both surfaces of the collector and including an active material and a binder, and a binder-rich layer being formed in a dot shape or a stripe shape with a predetermined interval in the interface between the collector and the electrode material layer and having a binder concentration higher than that of the electrode material layer. Accordingly, a concentration gradient of the binder is provided to the surface of the collector. By arranging the binder-rich layer at a predetermined interval, it is possible to improve the adhesiveness between the collector and the electrode material layer due to an anchor effect and to guarantee conductivity between the collector and the electrode material layer.

摘要: A long-life battery whose properties do not deteriorate after charge-discharges cycles is provided. A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a cathode, an anode, and a non-aqueous electrolytic solution containing an electrolyte. At least one of the cathode and the anode includes a binder. The binder includes a layer having electron conductivity on a surface thereof. The binder improves the contact property between particles of the active materials of the battery and the conductivity in the electrode without impairing the binding property of the binder. Preferably, the binder includes a metal on the surface thereof and the metal does not form an alloy with lithium to further improve the lifetime of the battery.

摘要: In a transflective liquid crystal display device having a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer disposed between the two substrates and a reflective region and a transmissive region in each pixel; the second substrate has a pixel electrode to drive the liquid crystal layer and a common electrode; the reflective region of the second substrate is formed with an in-cell polarizer between the pixel electrode and common electrode and the reflector. In this invention, the thickness of the liquid crystal layer is set greater in the reflective region than in the transmissive region. The difference in the liquid crystal layer thickness between the reflective region and the transmissive region is provided by forming a step in the first substrate or the second substrate.

摘要: Provided is an illuminating device (1) including: a light source (10); a light-guide-plate (20) received light from the light source at a side surface of the light-guide-plate and outputting from a front surface of the light-guide-plate; and reflector (30) disposed on a rear surface side of the light-guide-plate. The light-guide-plate outputs light having a peak of a luminance at an output angle inclined with respect to a normal line of the front surface. A part of the light output at the angle is made obliquely incident on the front surface at an angle smaller than a critical angle to be reflected in the light-guide-plate and, then, when the part of the light obliquely travels to the rear surface and to return to the front surface, polarized light components are converted so as to contain more p-polarized light components than s-polarized, and the part of the light is output.

摘要: A liquid crystal display device includes light source sections 150, a light guide plate 130 guiding light of the light source sections from a side edge and including a light emitting surface, and a liquid crystal panel 200 including a lower polarizer 230 opposed to the light emitting surface. The lower polarizer has a transmission axis generally along a light guide azimuth in which the light guide plate guides the light. The light guide plate includes a polarization converting section 131 on at least one of the light emitting surface and a rear surface. The polarization converting section reflects light made incident from the light guide azimuth in a different traveling azimuth and further reflects the light reflected in the different traveling azimuth to bring the traveling azimuth closer to the light guide azimuth to thereby convert polarization of the light traveling from the light guide azimuth.

The optical sheet includes prism arrays which are provided on a surface of the optical sheet opposite to the light guide plate, and each of which has at least two inclined surfaces and a ridge line extending in one direction. The light guide plate changes a polarization state of light that is reflected by the surface of the optical sheet, is transmitted through the light guide plate, is reflected by the reflection sheet, is transmitted through the light guide plate again, and then enters the optical sheet.
