摘要: A carrier for extracting bacteria is formed by a material body having a plurality of pores with no DNA. The pores are 5 to 100 &mgr;m in mean pore diameter, and at least 5 &mgr;m in depth. Bacteria enter the pores of the carrier for extracting bacteria buried in a sampling site and inhabit therein. After a lapse of a prescribed time, the carrier for extracting bacteria is taken out and washed for removing large-sized foreign matter. Further, the carrier for extracting bacteria is crushed to liberate the bacteria.

摘要: A primary treating tank (10) comprises a filling layer (14) and a foam glass layer (16) below the filling layer (14). The foam glass layer (16) contains foam glass grains each of which is larger in a grain diameter than a wood chip of the filling layer (14) so that the foam glass layer (16) is superior in water passing ability to the filling layer (14). In this arrangement, a space ratio is larger with a lower layer. This arrangement promotes smooth downward shifting of primary treated water. A secondary treating tank (30) also has a laminating structure including a filling layer (34) and a form glass layer (36). As air is supplied to the foam glass layer (36), the filling layer (34) is kept in a preferable aerobic condition so that preferable aerobic biological treatment is carried out on the treated water supplied from the primary treating tank (10).

摘要: A power breaker includes a fine motion mechanism portion having a chattering suppression portion formed of ring members and a ring member provided with sloping surfaces or curved surfaces at positions corresponding to one another in a state stacked up in a center axis direction, so that an impact generated upon collision of a movable electrode with a fixed electrode when a circuit is closed is trapped as a compression force. Hence, kinetic energy generated upon collision is consumed by energy absorption by friction due to a spring property of the ring members and a frictional force on the contact surfaces. It thus becomes possible to reduce a generation time of a chattering action.

摘要: An apparatus for amplifying DNA fragments is formed by a support plate. A plurality of openings are formed on the upper surface of the support plate. A plurality of primers having different amplification probabilities are arranged in the plurality of openings in order of the amplification probabilities. A plurality of microorganisms contained in a microorganism flora are simultaneously amplified with all primers by a random PCR method, for obtaining an electrophoretic pattern amplified at the optimum amplification probability for each microorganism. The plurality of microorganisms contained in the microorganism flora can be discriminated by analyzing the electrophoretic pattern.

摘要: To provide an organic waste processor wherein the formation of lumps of processing material is suppressed, and wherein the processing material can be used for a long time period. An organic waste processor 10 comprises a processing tank 12 for processing organic waste, such as kitchen waste. The processing tank 12 contains a material 11 on which microorganisms are supported which aerobically decompose kitchen waste. By sending air from an air pump 20 into the processing tank 12, the water content of the material 11 is decreased, and the formation of lumps due to sticking together of the processing material 11 is thereby suppressed.
