摘要： An information playback apparatus which can perform scan playback capable of being performed with finer settings. When a unit cycle B and a playback time A within the unit cycle B are specified and the start of the scan playback of playback data recorded in a DVD is specified, playback control data having address information and information of the playback order appended to each piece of data in the smallest basic units of the playback data is read out from the DVD, whereby the scan playback of the playback data is performed by managing the playback time A in every unit cycle B. Also, when access-inhibited data is present within the playback data, the scan playback of playback data is performed except the access-inhibited data.

摘要： A drive controller for controlling to change the orientation of a display surface of a display in accordance with the seating position of occupants aboard a vehicle. A display unit is rotatably mounted on a vehicle. A controller automatically rotates the display unit to a first position where the display surface is oriented toward a driver seat, when an occupant is seated solely in the driver seat. The controller rotates the display unit to a third position where the display surface is oriented toward a front passenger seat, when an occupant is seated solely in the front passenger seat. The controller rotates the display unit to a second position where the display surface is oriented toward the middle point between the driver seat and the front passenger seat, on detecting both of the occupants are seated respectively in the driver seat and the front passenger seat.

The CPU of the controller, recognizing that the vehicle is traveling, that the display surface of the display unit is oriented toward the driver's seat, and that a moving picture is displayed on the display surface rotates the display unit to a position where an occupant of the driver's seat cannot watch the moving picture.

摘要： A display control apparatus has a display panel, which is placed in its inactive state through a user's operation when not being used, on the one hand, and is placed in is active state when being used, on the other hand. After completing the display of video, the display panel is received automatically, thus ensuring protection of the display panel. It also prevents a beginning part of video from being hidden for a user. All video can be displayed on the display panel that stands up in its prescribed active state. In the display control apparatus, a rotary motor driver and a slider motor driver are used for placing the display panel received in a receiver. An encoder detects whether or not the display panel is placed in its prescribed active state. When the active state of the display panel is detected, an output controller outputs a video signal to the display panel for display.
