    摘要: A TFT array for a display device includes a plurality of spaced apart gate conductors and a plurality of spaced apart source conductors crossing over the gate conductors. TFT's are arranged in rows and columns. The gates of TFT's in each row are connected to a gate conductor for that row, and the sources of TFT's in each column are connected to a source conductor for that column. The drains of the TFT's are connected to respective pixel electrodes arranged in rows and columns. Each of a plurality of display sections has a storage capacitance connected at one end to an associated pixel electrode. Storage capacitance conductors are arranged parallel to respective gate conductors. Storage capacitors associated with the display sections in each row are connected to a storage capacitance conductor that is connected to the gate conductor of the next adjacent row.

    摘要: A pixel electrode and a line for a storage capacitor are sandwiched by first and second protecting films so as to position them in a different plane from a gate electrode and source/drain lines. An insulating film for a storage capacitor and the second protecting film remain at a crossing of the source line and a gate line, but part of them on a TFT is removed, when a pattern of the removal is at least partially deviated from a pattern of a contact hole in the first protecting film directly covering a polycrystalline Si film over the TFT, so that a short-circuit between lines and a breaking of the lines because of a level difference of film layers. Thus, an occurance of failure because of the short-circuit between lines is inhibited, and failure in the lines is reduced by reducing the breaking of the source line and/or the drain line.

    摘要: An Si thin film (2) for a channel is formed on an insulating substrate (1), and then a gate insulating film (3) made principally of SiO.sub.2 is formed thereon. On the gate insulating film (3) is formed a gate electrode (4) composed of a Si thin film doped with impurities. The gate electrode (4) is patterned by isotropic etching using a photoresist (11) as a mask, and the gate insulating film (3) is patterned by anisotropic etching using the photoresist (11) as a mask into a configuration wider than the gate electrode (4) to be removed from source/drain regions position. The Si thin film (2) is ion implanted with impurities to form source/drain regions of an offset structure. A thin film transistor having an offset or LDD structure and capable of reducing an off-state drain current is fabricated without the need for increased number of masks and for an accurate photolithography technique, such as in alignment accuracy between masks.

    摘要: A fuel filler system for use in a vehicle is provided. The system includes a fuel filler tube, a locking bracket coupled to an inner surface of the fuel filler tube, and a closure device coupleable within the tube end and including an outer wall and a radially movable tab extending from the outer wall. The tab engages the locking bracket after rotation of the closure device from a first rotational position to a second rotational position to prevent rotation of the closure device relative to the locking bracket. The closure device further includes a web flexibly connecting the tab to the outer wall and a region of weakness defined in the web, such that upon forcible rotation of the closure device from the second rotational position to the first rotational position, the region of weakness facilitates separation of the web from the outer wall.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus includes an image bearing member, a plurality of developing devices, a transfer device, a moving device, a color drift detector, a test pattern forming device, and a color drift correction device. The test pattern forming device forms a test pattern on the image bearing member. The color drift correction device corrects the color drift in a separating state in which the image bearing member and the transfer device are separated from each other. The test pattern forming device forms the test pattern again in an area on the image bearing member contacting the transfer device but not pressed by the transfer device after the color drift correction device corrects the color drift in the separating state, and the color drift correction device corrects the color drift in the contact state in which the image bearing member and the transfer device are in contact with each other.
