摘要： A reproducing apparatus reproduces a disc-shaped recording medium which is accommodated within a case. The case comprises a jacket which has a space for accommodating the disc-shaped recording medium and an opening for allowing the disc-shaped recording medium to go in and out of the jacket, and a lid member inserted through the opening of the jacket for closing the opening of the jacket. The reproducing apparatus comprises an inserting opening part through which the case is inserted into the reproducing apparatus, a turntable for rotating the disc-shaped recording medium, lid member locking mechanism and disc-shaped recording medium clamping mechanism respectively provided at the innermost part of the reproducing apparatus opposite to the inserting opening with respect to the turntable, jacket opening enlarging mechanism provided in the vicinity of the inserting opening, moving over the turntable between the position in the vicinity of the inserting opening and the innermost part of the reproducing apparatus, accompanied by operation of inserting the case into and pulling the same from the reproducing apparatus, and an elevating mechanism for moving a member for supporting the disc-shaped recording medium upwards and downwards independent of the turntable.

The elevator lever member is positioned within a moving passage of a locking guiding part which is a part of the jacket opening enlarging means. Further, the elevator lever member is locked and guided by the locking guiding part and displaced towards a direction so as to operate the elevator means to lower the supporting member so that the supporting member retreats from a case inserting path upon insertion of the case into the reproducing apparatus, and is released of the locking operation by the locking guiding part and displaced towards an opposite direction so as to operate the elevator means to raise the supporting member upon extraction of the case from the reproducing apparatus.

摘要： A rotating recording medium such as a video disc placed on a turntable is played back by a signal pickup head movable radially over and across the disc. Before and after the disc is played back, it is supported by a disc support over the turntable, the disc support being movable vertically between elevated and lowered positions. A switching mechanism has a single motor for selectively moving the signal pickup head and the disc support. While the disc support is actuated by the switching mechanism, the signal pickup head is locked against movement by a locking mechanism. Since the signal pickup head and the disc support are selectively actuated by the single motor, the overall construction is relatively simple and can be manufactured inexpensively. When the signal pickup head remains inactivated, it is locked in a standby position against undesired movement even when the apparatus is tilted or subjected to an impact.

摘要： A signal pickup device for an apparatus for playing back an information storage medium such as a video disc comprises a cartridge casing mounted in a signal pickup device body, and a pickup cartridge housed in the cartridge casing and having a reproducing stylus for picking up signals from the video disc, a cantilever assembly composed of a cantilever supporting on one end thereof the reproducing stylus and a suspension member mounted on an opposite end of the cantilever, and a holder supporting the suspension member and attached to the cartridge casing for pivotable movement about the suspension member. The signal pickup device also has a coil through which a current passes for magnetically enabling the reproducing stylus to impose a stylus force on the video disc. The holder can be adjusted in angular position through the pivotable movement about the suspension member to adjust the stylus force. The holder is bonded to the cartridge casing after the holder has been positionally adjusted with respect to the cartridge casing.

摘要： A recording reproducing apparatus reproduces a rotary recording medium which is accommodated within a jacket. The apparatus has a jacket opening enlarging device which is horizontally movable over a turntable, in the vicinity of a lateral inserting opening. For loading the recording, the jacket is inserted into the rear part of the reproducing apparatus where the record is captured and then the jacket is pulled out, leaving the record on the turntable. The jacket opening enlarging device comprises upper and lower enlarging members aligned with the inserting opening and pivotally coupled together to open and close by swinging upwardly and downwardly respectively. Fingers on the enlarging members project towards the inserting opening, which are close to each other when the jacket opening enlarging device is in the vicinity of the inserting opening. A rotating mechanism swingably opens the upper and lower enlarging members so that the fingers open the jacket engaging with rims as the jacket opening enlarging device moves toward the rear part. An enlarging member locking mechanism interlocks the upper and lower enlarging members for keeping them closed to shut the inserting opening when the jacket opening enlarging device is positioned in the vicinity of the inserting opening, and release the interlock upon insertion of the case.

摘要： An apparatus for reproducing rotary recording media has an inserting opening on its front side. A rotary recording medium is accommodated within a case having a jacket and a lid member for closing an opening of the jacket. The apparatus has a mechanism for enlarging the opening of the jacket as it is inserted into the opening. This mechanism couples with the jacket as it moves over a turntable positioned between the inserting opening and a rear part of the reproducing apparatus. A switch mechanism (comprising a microswitch) detects a movement of the jacket opening enlarging mechanism. The microswitch is positioned opposite the jacket opening enlarging mechanism and near the inserting opening. The microswitch remains operated as long as the jacket opening enlarging mechanism is moved away from the inserting opening. The microswitch returns to normal when the jacket opening enlarging mechanism moves back to its normal position near the inserting opening.

摘要： A rotary recording medium reproducing apparatus reproduces a rotary recording medium on a turntable after an operation is performed in which the case accommodating the rotary recording medium therein is inserted into the reproducing apparatus and the case is then extracted from the reproducing apparatus with leaving the rotary recording medium with the apparatus. The reproducing apparatus comprises a jacket opening enlarging mechanism for engaging with the jacket to enlarge the opening according to the movement of the enlarging mechanism towards the innermost part of the reproducing apparatus from an inserting opening according to the insertion of the case, and a locking mechanism provided at a position substantially center along right and left directions of the enlarging mechanism, for normally locking the enlarging mechanism in the vicinity of the inserting opening to restrict the movement of the enlarging mechanism towards the innermost part of the reproducing apparatus. The locking mechanism is maintained in its original locking state upon insertion of the case or jacket in a state where a front edge of the case or jacket is slanted with respect to the enlarging mechanism, and assumes a locking released state only when the front edge is parallel with the enlarging mechanism and the locking mechanism is pushed by the front edge.

摘要： To enable a bunch of sheets to be reliably discharged to a stack tray, also in the case where weight of the bunch of sheets formed on a processing tray is large, upon receiving a printing command, a main body control section checks information on an ink discharge amount in printing on a sheet, the number of sheets, sheet type and printing mode (two-side/one-side). By this means, the section recognizes weight of the bunch of sheets formed on the processing tray, and when determining that the weight is heavier than predetermined weight, deceases an upper limit value of the number of sheets of a bunch of sheets formed at a time to report to a user.
