    摘要: An information processing apparatus utilizing a scanning tunnel microscope includes a probe, a detector for detecting the distance between the probe and an object opposed thereto, based on a physical interaction working between the probe and the object, an electrostatic actuator for displacing the probe, for adjusting the distance between the probe and the object. The electrostatic actuator includes mutually opposed two electrodes: A controller is provided for controlling the amount of charge to be accumulated between the electrodes, so as to maintain a desired distance between the probe and the object, based on the result of detection by the detector.

    摘要: A recording and reproducing apparatus has a recording and/or reading head having a tip for recording and/or reproducing information on and/or from a recording medium. Information is recorded and/or erased by way of a polarization reversal or transport of electric charges in a predetermined area of the recording medium in response to application of a pulse voltage from the head. The information recorded in the predetermined area is detected as a change in the electric charges or an electrostatic capacitance or a surface potential or their differential in the predetermined area for reproducing the information.

    摘要: Two recording tracks (T1) and (T2) are formed in parallel with each other on a stereoscopic video disc record (D). Image information for a right eye and audio information are serially recorded on one recording track (T1). Image information for a left eye and audio information are serially recorded on the recording track (T2) at a synchronized timing with the image information for a right eye and the audio information recorded on the adjacent recording track T1. Information can be easily recorded on such steroscopic video disc record (D) in a manner that the image information for right and left eyes and the audio information are recorded at the same time by two recording beams. On the other hand, stereoscopic image information can be reproduced by reproducing respective recording tracks at the same time by two reproducing means. Furthermore, a normal two dimensional image information can be reproduced by reproducing either one of the recording tracks serially by one reproducing beam.

    摘要: The lateral position of a magnetic head is controlled in response to tracking information derived from an adjacent guide track formed by a series of minute pits on a grooveless recording medium having ferromagnetic and dielectric properties. Microwave energy is applied to an electrode mounted for movement with the magnetic head to sense the variations in capacitance resulting from the geometrical variations of the minute pits. The recording medium comprises an underlying layer of ferromagnetic material in which the minute pits are formed in spiral or concentric pattern and an overlying layer of a dielectric material which conforms to the pit contours of the underlying layer.

    摘要: A disk recording device of the invention has a detector for detecting the position of an optical head with respect to the radial direction of a disk, using an optical scale, and a position signal processing circuit for generating a position signal from the output signal from the detector. An output signal from the circuit is converted by a D/A converter into a voltage signal, which is supplied to a voltage controlled oscillator. The oscillator generates a frequency signal. The frequency signal is supplied to a page buffer storing video data and one input of an AND circuit. The other input of the AND circuit is connected to receive a video data from the page buffer. The AND circuit generates a logic product of the frequency signal and the video data, or a recording timing signal having a frequency which is proportional to the position of the head with respect to the radial direction of the disk.

    摘要: A signal pickup device for picking up signals from a video disc includes a base plate, a transducer unit printed on the base plate and having an oscillator, transformer, a resonator, an inductor, and a preamplifier mounted on the base plate and located longitudinally of the transducer unit. The preamplifier is of an elongated structure extending transversely of and substantially across the transducer unit. The oscillator and the preamplifier are supplied with electric power via a power supply terminal which is disposed substantially midway between the oscillator and the preamplifier. With this construction, the signal pickup device is reduced in width, and is of a unitary structure which can be easily positioned in place and results in high noise resistance.
