A communication device is provided that readily increases the communication capacity of communication data based on a given protocol, without increasing the number of wired connections. The communication device sends and receives communication data through a communication line. A transmitting section sends a communication signal of modulated communication data to the communication line. A receiving section demodulates a communication signal received from the communication line to obtain communication data The transmitting section modulates the communication data on the basis of a frequency that varies dynamically within a predetermined transmission frequency band. The receiving section demodulates the received modulated communication signal corresponding to the transmission frequency band, to obtain the communication data.
Abstract:
In a terahertz-wave spectrometer, a spectroscopic prism is provided with a prism part slidable with respect to a main part thereof. Along the sliding direction, an arrangement surface in an upper face of the prism part is provided with a plurality of arrangement regions K to be arranged with objects to be measured. Therefore, after completing the measurement of optical constants for one object, the prism part is slid, so as to shift the next object onto an optical path of a terahertz wave T, whereby a plurality of objects can be measured smoothly without cleaning the arrangement surface.

A developing device comprising: a developing roller; a casing that includes a developer storage unit; a roller supporting unit and an opening; and a seal member that is mounted on the casing outside the opening in the central axis direction and faces an end portion of the developing roller, the seal member configured to rub against the end portion of the developing roller when the seal member is elastically deformed, wherein the casing includes: an outer projection that is provided along a moving direction of the developing roller to abut on an outer end portion of the seal member, the outer projection protruding in a position which is inside the roller supporting unit; and an inner projection provided along the outer projection so as to abut on an inner end portion of the seal member, the inner projection protruding in a position which is outside the opening.

A terahertz wave generating apparatus 2 includes an excitation light source 10, a transmission-type diffraction grating 32, a variable imaging optical system 61, and a nonlinear optical crystal 70. The transmission-type diffraction grating 32 inputs pulsed excitation light output from the excitation light source 10, and diffracts and outputs the pulsed excitation light. In the transmission-type diffraction grating 32, its orientation is variable with a straight central axis, that is parallel to the grooves and passing through an incident position of a principal ray of the pulsed excitation light. The variable imaging optical system 61 is configured to input the pulsed excitation light diffracted to be output by the transmission-type diffraction grating 32, to form an image of the pulsed excitation light by the transmission-type diffraction grating 32, and its imaging magnification is variable. The nonlinear optical crystal 70 is disposed at a position at which the pulsed excitation light is formed as the image by the variable imaging optical system 61, and inputs the pulsed excitation light via the variable imaging optical system 61, and generates a terahertz wave T. Thereby, a terahertz wave generating apparatus, in which it is easy to adjust a phase matching condition, can be realized.

A developing device includes a developer carrier, a developing unit housing which rotatably supports the developer carrier, a side seal member which comes into slidable contact with both ends of the developer carrier, a sheet-like elongated seal member which extends in the axial direction of the developer carrier so as to come into slidable contact with the developer carrier, a side seal attachment surface which is formed in the developing unit housing and to which the side seal member is attached, and a support portion which is formed in the developing unit housing and protrudes toward the developer carrier from the side seal attachment surface to support the elongated seal member. The elongated seal member is attached onto the support portion in a state where both ends thereof overlap the side seal member and are opposite the side seal attachment surface.

A microvolume liquid dispensing device capable of automatically dispensing a predetermined volume of a microvolume liquid placed from the outside. Because one surface of a main flow path (13) is gradually varied from a hydrophobic nature to a hydrophilic nature, a microvolume liquid (A) placed in the main flow path (13) can be automatically conveyed. One surface of a side flow path (14) is of a hydrophilic nature, so that a portion of the microvolume liquid (A) can be automatically dispensed to the side flow path (14).

Herein, the encrypted advertisement code contains sponsor enterprise identification information, advertisement commercial article identification information and advertising medium identification information in a copy-disabled mode.

Novel substances having carcinostatic and immunostimulating activity, which are obtained from a culture or its supernatant fluid prepared by culturing bacteria belonging to Fusobacterium genus. Said substances are useful for the treatment of cancerous diseases lower warm-blooded animals. This disclosure concerns such substances and a process for preparing the same and a carcinostatic agent containing the same.
