    摘要: An improved method of stabilizing a polyoxymethylene copolymer, which comprises(1) heat-melting a crude copolymer of trioxane and a cyclic ether and/or a cyclic acetal to form a first stabilized copolymer having a decomposition ratio (D.sub.220.sup.60), determined when it is heated at 220.degree. C. for 60 minutes in vacuum, of up to 2% by weight, and then(2) bringing the first stabilized copolymer into contact with steam containing 0.01 to 5% by weight of a basic compound at a temperature of at least 100.degree. C. but not exceeding the melting point of the copolymer to form a second stabilized copolymer.

    摘要: A motorcycle with a low floor is configured such that secondary vibration of an engine can be largely reduced and an increase in engine width can be suppressed. The motorcycle with a low floor includes step floors on which to put a rider's feet on left and right sides of a vehicle body frame. An engine is provided between the step floors. A plurality of exhaust pipes extend respectively from cylinders of the engine, the exhaust pipes being gathered at a gathering portion. The engine is an in-line 3-cylinder engine having cylinder portions inclined forwardly. The exhaust pipes extend downwards from the cylinder portions on the basis of each cylinder. The exhaust pipes are bundled and extend on the right side of the engine, in a position on the lower side of one of the step floors.

The fuel supply port portion is formed as a separate body from a tank body of a fuel tank and is removably attached to the tank body. The structure of the tank body can be simplified, and in the case where the tank body is made of a resin, it is not necessary to perform an insert molding operation. Consequently, it is possible to fabricate the tank body easily and also possible to thin the tank body, thereby ensuring a sufficient capacity of the fuel tank. Further, since tank fittings mounting portions are concentrated in the fuel supply port portion, it is possible to assemble the fuel tank in an efficient manner.

    摘要: A power unit including a motor is connected to a vehicle body frame. The vehicle body frame extends downward from a head pipe, and is provided with a pair of frames substantially parallel to the ground surface. A control unit receptacle case for driving the motor is fixed to span between the paired right and left frames. Batteries for the supply of electric power to the motor are mounted on the control unit. The control unit serves also as a bottom plate between the paired right and left frames and can carry batteries thereon. Therefore, the use of an additional frame or member for the mounting of batteries is not required, thus permitting a reduction in the vehicle body weight and the number of components used. Since the control unit closes the bottom of the main frame, the rigidity of the main frame is enhanced.

To achieve the optimum self-recovering function at high temperatures, the outermost surface oxide covering layer may be made of a stable oxide having a vapor pressure of 1.times.10.sup.-4 /m.sup.2 or less in the atmospheric air at 1500.degree. C., and the oxidized product material from the self-recoverable layer contains an oxide having the same composition as that of the outermost surface oxide covering layer.

    摘要: A battery mounting structure is provided for an electric vehicle which is operated using a motor as a driving source in which running wind is effectively utilized for cooling the batteries, and the cooling efficiency of a battery unit is enhanced. The electric vehicle is provided with a body frame where a front frame member extends from a head pipe diagonally downward toward the rear of the vehicle body. The battery mounting structure is attached to the front frame member of the body frame so that the cooling face of the battery unit is directly exposed to running wind. The battery mounting structure includes cooling fins which confront the running wind, and is covered by a body cover having louvered air intakes and air exhausts. The louvers direct the running wind smoothly to the cooling fins and protect the battery mounting structure.
