摘要： A display device and operation method thereof for displaying images processed on an image processing apparatus on a horizontally installed, upward facing display screen with the operation method for said display device comprising; a step for specifying the number of screens for display on the display screen, a step for displaying image information on a screen with a predetermined image direction in said display device based on the specified number of screens, a step to change the established display direction, a step to display said screen based on instructions for changing the display direction; and further comprising a step to specify the number of screens for display on said display screen and the direction of said display screen, a step to display an image on the display screen based on the specified number of screens and specified direction of the display screen thus allowing an ideal screen to be provided on a single display device for a plurality of users by changing the direction of the screen along with the number of screens for display. A user's own screen currently in use, can further be changed to face other users thus permitting joint use of information shown on the display screen of the display device.

摘要： A cushioning material for packaging is provided, which is used when an article having a rectangular cross section or a cubic shape is packaged in an outer case, such as a corrugated cardboard box. The cushioning material is suitable for packaging the article therewith in an outer case while an end portion, which has a pair of corner sections, of the article is inserted into and supported by the cushioning. The cushioning material is provided with a grooved retainer (1) and a pair of end support members (2,2) disposed so as to close the ends of both end portions of the grooved retainer (1). The grooved retainer has a raised bottom (10) and two side walls (11,11) and is adapted to receive one inserted end portion of the article having a rectangular cross section or a cubic shape. The end support members each have a plurality of hollow portions (20), which are arranged in parallel in a predetermined direction, and a rectangular cross-section orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the hollow portions (20). The grooved retainer (1) and end support members (2,2) are formed by folding a single sheet a of a predetermined planar shape along valley-forming folding lines (a1) and ridge-forming folding lines (a2) formed on the sheet. This enables to provide a cushioning material for packaging which has a simple structure and a low bulk specific gravity, and is not likely to deform.

摘要： A method of imparting directional permanency of folding to a sheet, and an apparatus therefor, which is suitable for manufacturing frame bodies, cushioning members and other block products for packaging, from a sheet of paper and other recyclable materials. The method includes a step of moving respective folding working tools, disposed on one or both surfaces of a sheet, required amounts so as to fold the sheet along respective folding ruled lines, and a step of shortening spacings between the respective folding working tools in a uniform ratio in accordance with an apparent amount of shortening in a longitudinal dimension caused by the shifting, while synchronizing with the moving step. Directional permanency of folding can be accurately imparted to the sheet along the folding ruled lines.

摘要： This invention relates to fold line structure of a corrugated fiberboard in which the fold lines have a shape like the letter V, along which the corrugated fiberboard sheet is folded. The fold lines extend perpendicularly to or at an angle other than a right angle to the flutes. Each fold line is composed of cuts, each of which has a predetermined length and penetrates the corrugated fiberboard sheet, and hinge portions, each of which has a predetermined length and is formed by compressing the flutes, with the cuts and the hinge portions aligned in an alternating arrangement. Auxiliary cuts each have a planar shape approximating an one-sided arrow directed toward the adjacent hinge portion, penetrate the corrugated fiberboard sheet, and are formed on opposing sides at both ends of each cut portion. With the above constitution, the fold lines like the inverted letter V and the fold lines like the letter V can be formed on the corrugated fiberboard sheet through one process by the same die cutter, and the corrugated fiberboard sheet is able to be folded along the fold lines smoothly and accurately.

The method includes supplying a sheet in a naturally relaxed state onto a support guide, and applying a light pressing pressure on the sheet in a direction by which the angles between the folds are increased by means of a pressing guide. The pressing guide moves toward a support surface of the support guide when a pair of bending tools begin to apply a bending pressure to the sheet to correctly and smoothly fold and shape the sheet along the respective folds.

The coating is a liquid solution of a coating formative substance containing, dispersed therein, solid grains or minute particles of a freshness preservative substance which is a far-infrared radioactive substance emitting radiation of a wave length of about 3-14 .mu.m at room temperature, a gas adsorptive substance, a substance reactive with oxygen at room temperature or a mixture thereof.
