    摘要: A phenol compound of the formula �1! ##STR1## wherein each of X's is a group of the formula �2! ##STR2## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.4 are the same or different and each is an alkyl having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, and R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 are the same or different and each is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl having 1 to 8 carbon atoms; a stabilizer for organic materials which comprises the compound; a composition comprising the compound and an organic material; and a composition comprising the composition and a sulfur antioxidant, and use thereof.The compound of the present invention as used as a stabilizer for an organic material shows superior preventive effect against oxidative degradation and extremely superior resistance against degradation of an organic material in an environment involving contact with hot water for a long time, as compared to compounds conventionally used as hot water resistant antioxidants. In addition, a concurrent use of the compound of the present invention and a sulfur antioxidant brings about excellent synergistic effect to synergistically improve resistance to hot water for a long time, as compared to conventional hot water resistant antioxidants.

    摘要: Phosphonite and phosphonate compounds ##STR1## wherein X.sup.1, X.sup.2, X.sup.3 and X.sup.4 are each independently a group of the formula ##STR2## wherein R is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, p is 0 or 1, q is independently 0 or 1 with regard to each repeat unit, and m is an integer of 2 to 10, a stabilizer for organic materials comprising said compound and a stabilized organic material comprising said compound. The compound of the present invention is less volatile at high temperatures. The use of the compound of the present invention as a stabilizer for organic materials affords an extremely useful organic material which is superior in heat stability and free of degradation caused by oxidation. The compound of the present invention has excellent compatibility with the above-mentioned organic materials and hardly migrate from the organic materials. Thus, the compound of the present invention can reside in the organic material for a prolonged period of time, which in turn stabilizes the organic materials in a sustained manner.

The subjective vision testing system is provided with an optometric apparatus which selectively sets optical elements in front of both eyes of an examinee, an optotype presenting apparatus for displaying optotypes to the examinee, and a controller. The optotype presenting apparatus, based on a command signal for implementation of a binocular balance test, displays optotypes used for binocular balance tests. The optometric apparatus, based on a command signal for implementation of a binocular balance test, sets a first prism in front of the examinee's right eye and a second prism in front of the examinee's left eye. The second prism has a base direction vertically opposite to the first prism and the same prism power as the first prism.

    摘要: A finish annealed non-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet includes about 0.01 wt % or less of C, greater than about 1.0 wt % and at most about 3.5 wt % of Si, at least about 0.6 wt % and at most about 3.0 wt % of Al, at least about 0.1 wt % and at most about 2.0 wt % of Mn, at least about 2 ppm and at most about 80 ppm of one or more rare earth metals (REM), a maximum content of Ti and Zr being about 15 ppm and 80 ppm, respectively, wherein oxygen on the surface layer of the steel sheet is 1.0 g/m2 or less. Since the non-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet has desirable mechanical properties resulting from the increased amounts of Si and Al, a high magnetic flux density can be maintained without sacrificing a punching property as well as very low iron loss can be obtained even after stress relief annealing.

    摘要: A hydraulic actuating apparatus includes a cylindrical case having a fitting at one end connectable to a source of pressurized oil, the fitting having a passage for communication with the pressurized oil, a slider slidably carried by the cylindrical case, the slider being slidable in response to the oil pressure, a first spring device for biasing the slider in a predetermined direction to resist the force on the slider applied by the oil pressure, a slidable contact device carried by the slider, an oil pressure sensor which includes a resistor and a ground conductor, the slidable contact device being slidably engaged with the resistor, the resistor being fixed with respect to the slidable contact device, and a second spring device for biasing the slider in the predetermined direction. The second spring device is connected to the slider, with the second spring device having a smaller spring constant than the first spring device. The hydraulic actuating apparatus further includes a fuel pump switch having a movable contact and a fixed contact, wherein movement of the movable contact relative to the fixed contact causes one of contact and release of the fuel pump switch, the fuel pump switch is assembled integrally in the case, and the resistor includes a flat resistor.

    摘要: A martensitic stainless steel, having high temper softening resistance, for disc brakes is provided. The martensitic stainless steel is not seriously softened by maintaining the steel at more than 600° C. The steel has a hardness of 32 or more or a hardness of 30 or more in HRC after the steel is tempered at 650° C. for one hour or tempered at 670° C. for one hour, respectively. In particular, the martensitic stainless steel for disc brakes contains less than 0.050 mass % carbon, 1.0 mass % or less silicon, 2.0 mass % or less manganese, 0.04 mass % or less phosphorus, 0.010 mass % or less sulfur, 0.2 mass % or less aluminum, more than 11.5 mass % to 15.0 mass % chromium, 0.5 mass % to 2.0 mass % nickel, more than 0.50 mass % to 4.0 mass %. copper, more than 0.08 mass % to 0.6 mass % niobium, and less than 0.09 mass % nitrogen, the remainder being iron and unavoidable impurities. The carbon content, the nitrogen content, the niobium content, the chromium content, the silicon content, the nickel content, the manganese content, and the copper content satisfy the following inequalities (1) and (2): 0.03≦[C]+[N]−13/93×[Nb]≦0.09   (1) 5×[Cr]+10×[Si]+30×[Nb]−9×[Ni]−5×[Mn]−3×[Cu]−225×[N]−270×[C]≦40   (2).
