摘要: A power consuming device is configured to be electrically connected to a power connection point of a power distribution system of a datacenter. The power distribution system includes a hierarchy of power supply equipment. A first label is associated with the power connection point and includes power supply information that indicates the power connection point's place in the hierarchy of power supply equipment. A second label is associated with the power consuming device and includes identification information that identifies the power consuming device. A reader is configured to read the first label to obtain the power supply information and to read the second label to obtain the identification information. An electrical connection management system is configured to receive the power supply information and the identification information obtained by the reader such that the electrical connection management system records the connection of the power consuming device to the power connection point and the power connection point's place in the hierarchy of power supply equipment.

摘要: In one general aspect, a media content item is provided to a plurality of users, the media content item having a temporal length. Annotations to the media content item are received from the plurality of users, the annotations each having associated temporal data defining a presentation time during the temporal length. The received annotations are associated with the media content item so that the annotations are presented during the presentation of the media content item at approximately the presentation time during the temporal length.

摘要: The subject matter of this specification can be embodied in, among other things, a method that includes supplying power to a portion of a data center through a power distribution line. Utilization of a statistically significant sample of the computers is monitored, and an estimated individual power draw for each of the computers based on the utilization is calculated. An estimated total power draw is calculated for different times from the estimated individual power draws to generate a collection of estimated total power draw values for the different times. Actual power draw is monitored at the power distribution line and a collection of actual power draw values is generated. A function is fitted to pairs of actual power draw values and estimated power draw values, each pair comprising an actual draw value and an estimated draw value for the same time, and the function is then stored.

摘要: In a computer-implemented method, an electronic communication from a first computing machine is received and includes a power value and one or more priority values. The power value represents a request for a power allotment expected to be used during a predetermined time and the priority values represent priorities of tasks expected to be executed during the predetermined time. A score for the request is calculated using a scoring function and the received priority values as inputs to the scoring function. The score is compared to one or more other scores respectively associated with requests for power allotments from other computing machines and previously calculated using the scoring function following receipt of one or more electronic communications each including a power value and one or more priority values. A top-ranked score is identified and an electronic communication is sent to the associated computing machine granting the requested power allotment.

摘要: A first alert and a second alert are received. The first alert indicates a first fault related to a first component of the multiple components and the second alert that indicates a second fault related to a second component of the multiple components. The first component affects the second component such that the first fault caused the second fault. A correlation between the first alert and the second alert is determined and, based on the determined correlation, a determination is made that the first fault is a root cause of the first alert and the second alert. An indication that the first fault is the root cause of the first alert and second alert is provided.

摘要: A method includes receiving a first input through a hands-based input device. A prompt is then output, and input responsive to the prompt may be received through either of a hands-based input device or a hands-free input device. Responsive to receiving a second input through a hands-free input device, a determination that the second input is responsive to the prompt may be made, an operation based on the second input may be performed, and cessation of the output of the prompt may occur.
