Abstract: This disclosure relates to a method and system for regime-based process optimization of various assets of industrial manufacturing and process plants or units. Operating regimes of assets are identified and a regime similarity score of each asset is computed from regime sequences of integrated industrial data and compared with a given threshold to identify regimes of operation. Operating regimes are matched with regimes of regime database and industrial assets and similar operating regimes are group together. Process optimization is carried out for each group of industrial assets to identify optimum settings in order to maximize output or minimize loss/cost considering process and equipment constraints. Anomalies are analyzed in the unmatched operating regimes and a diagnosis is carried out to identify the root cause for any detected anomalies. Remaining useful life of components in the assets with unmatched operating regimes is estimated to ensure component reliability and to prevent failure.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to optimizing an operation of an equipment by a neural network based optimizer is provided. The method include receiving, information associated with at least one equipment instance (j) as an input at a predefined sequence of timestamps; training, a plurality of simulation models for each equipment instance to obtain a function (fj); processing, the external input parameters (et) to obtain a fixed-dimensional vector and passed as an input to obtain an vector (it); generating, a modified (it) from the output vector (it) based on a domain constraint value; computing, a reward (rt) based on (i) the function (fj), (ii) the modified (it), (iii) the external input parameters (et), and (iv) a reward function (Rj); and iteratively performing the steps of processing, generating, and computing reward (rt) for a series of subsequent equipment instances after expiry of the predefined sequence of timestamps associated with a first equipment instance.

Abstract: The gasoline blending is a critical aspect in oil refinery operations. There are multiple blending rules in prior art to predict the chemical or physical property of the blend. But none of the prior method focuses on obtaining the best blending rule for each feature used in creating the soft-sensor. A method and system for generating a soft-sensor for getting desired property of a blend by optimizing a set of blending rules for each feature used for creating soft-sensor have been provided using data from individual components of the blend. The method comprises automated soft-sensor creation using multiple data sources. Further, the method involves finding best blending rule for each feature used for building the soft-sensor or the blending model to predict property of the blend. The soft-sensor developed using data of components used for blending is adapted to predict mixture or blend property with limited tuning.

Abstract: Process control of continuous production of biomolecules is a major challenge due to complex nature of processes and time scales of operations involved. Availability of key process variables in real-time is one of main requirements. This disclosure relates to a processor implemented method of controlling a continuous bioprocessing plant which includes at least one of: receiving, an input data associated with one or more equipments; generating, by a recipe builder, a sequence of unit operations to determine at least one job order based on the at least input data; obtaining, a control decision associated with a control parameter based on the at least one job order; communicating, via the middleware, the control decision associated with the control parameter to the PLC; and executing, by a control system of the PLC, the control decision on a unit equipment to control: (i) a continuous bioprocessing train, and (ii) an individual unit operation.
