Abstract: Performance and lifespan of batteries deteriorate with time due to various factors. Existing systems for battery management use different approaches for the battery management, and also rely on static value of parameters for State of Health (SOH) and Remaining Useful Life (RUL) estimation, thereby failing to consider current condition of the battery. The disclosure herein generally relates to battery management, and, more particularly, to a method and system for online battery management involving real-time estimation of State of Health (SOH) and Remaining Useful Life (RUL) of a battery, based on real-time data collected from the battery. The system determines state of the battery as one of charging, discharging, and rest. Further, corresponding to the determined state, the system determines values of one or more parameters, and processes the determined values with a battery performance model for online determination of the SOH and RUL.

Abstract: The gasoline blending is a critical aspect in oil refinery operations. There are multiple blending rules in prior art to predict the chemical or physical property of the blend. But none of the prior method focuses on obtaining the best blending rule for each feature used in creating the soft-sensor. A method and system for generating a soft-sensor for getting desired property of a blend by optimizing a set of blending rules for each feature used for creating soft-sensor have been provided using data from individual components of the blend. The method comprises automated soft-sensor creation using multiple data sources. Further, the method involves finding best blending rule for each feature used for building the soft-sensor or the blending model to predict property of the blend. The soft-sensor developed using data of components used for blending is adapted to predict mixture or blend property with limited tuning.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to a method and system for regime-based process optimization of various assets of industrial manufacturing and process plants or units. Operating regimes of assets are identified and a regime similarity score of each asset is computed from regime sequences of integrated industrial data and compared with a given threshold to identify regimes of operation. Operating regimes are matched with regimes of regime database and industrial assets and similar operating regimes are group together. Process optimization is carried out for each group of industrial assets to identify optimum settings in order to maximize output or minimize loss/cost considering process and equipment constraints. Anomalies are analyzed in the unmatched operating regimes and a diagnosis is carried out to identify the root cause for any detected anomalies. Remaining useful life of components in the assets with unmatched operating regimes is estimated to ensure component reliability and to prevent failure.

The designed vehicle associated with the formulation on an in-silico model of corresponding chosen drug delivery route is tested to obtain data associated with delivery of the active molecule. The data associated with delivery of the active molecule is reiteratively processed to obtain a desired data associated with the delivery of the active molecule.

Abstract: The disclosure generally relates to methods and systems for determining multi-column chromatography process configuration for capturing antibodies. Conventional approaches for design of MCC configuration are limited to rule based, either driven by UV spectroscopic measurements or by performing number of experiments, which involves a lot of material costs and time utilization. The present disclosure solves the technical problem of identifying the operational conditions that optimized the MCC process and the MCC configuration. A multi-objective optimization function defined with one or more decision variables associated with the operating conditions is considered to determine the optimal MCC configuration, while satisfying purification goals. The one or more key performance measures of the MCC process comprises a productivity, a capacity utilization, a product yield, and a product purity. The significant amount of time and the material cost invested for designing the optimum MCC configuration is decreased by the present disclosure.

Abstract: The efficient operation of an electric vehicle depends greatly on proper functioning of a battery pack in the electric vehicle. A system and method for optimizing the operation of the battery pack in an electric vehicle is provided. The system comprises a digital twin for a battery pack in an electric vehicle. The system determines the state of charge, state of health and temperature distribution in the battery pack using various models. This information can be used to predict optimal charge and discharge profiles of the battery pack for given load conditions, as well as remaining useful life of the battery. The digital twin would require inputs such as battery temperatures from the sensors, coolant flow rates, coolant temperature, ambient temperature, load on the vehicle, current and voltages from the pack and battery characteristics from the manufacturer.

Abstract: Monitoring and analysis of plurality of operations in mining and mineral processing is critical to achieve optimized performance. Existing tools are specific to one or other individual operations and this individuality introduces limitations for end to end monitoring of entire mining to mineral processing operations. Method and system for online monitoring and optimization of mining and mineral processing operations providing an integrated approach utilizing short-term mining plan data, information generated using established drill and blast design software, simulation models of fragmentation, crushing, screening, grinding and flotation to arrive at an optimized charge plan and set points for controllers is disclosed. The proposed method and system improves key performance indicators such as cost of mining operations, specific energy consumption in comminution circuit, maximizes yield of desired particle size, and maximizes grade and recovery of mineral of interest while considering operational constraints.

Abstract: A system and method for design of polymeric carrier for controlled release of molecules is provided. The method includes receiving a plurality of input parameters of a polymeric carrier, a solvent, and molecules to be released from the polymeric carrier from a database and performing Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulations to estimate thermodynamic and transport properties of the polymeric carrier, the solvent and the molecules to be released using on one or more input parameters from the plurality of input parameters. Based on the estimated thermodynamic and transport properties, swelling and degradation kinetics of the polymeric carrier and release kinetics of the molecules to be released from the polymeric carrier is estimated and generating a proposed formulation based on difference between estimated released kinetics and the targeted release kinetics of the molecules.
