    摘要: A disclosed method is implemented by a network node in a wireless communication network to transmitting system information to a plurality of wireless terminals. The network node transmits a first group of system information blocks (SIBs) via a first physical channel, and transmits a second group of additional SIBs via a different, second physical channel. A corresponding network node operative to implement the method is also disclosed. Another disclosed method is implemented by a wireless terminal in a wireless communication network. The wireless terminal processes information received from a base station over a first physical channel to identify a first group of SIBs, and processes information received from the base station over a different, second physical channel to identify a second group of additional SIBs. A corresponding wireless terminal operative to implement the method is also disclosed.

    摘要: A method of operating a wireless network node may include transmitting a first MIMO downlink communication to a wireless terminal according to a first MIMO rank, and receiving at least one HARQ ACK/NACK, message from the wireless terminal corresponding to the first MIMO downlink communication. A report may be received from the wireless terminal identifying a reported MIMO rank, and a second MIMO rank may be selected for a second MIMO downlink communication responsive to the at least one HARQ ACK/NACK message. The second MIMO downlink communication may be transmitted to the wireless terminal according to the second MIMO rank.

    摘要: A method performed by a central network node of instructing one of a first network node and a second network node to transmit to a first wireless device, wherein all operate in a combined cell deployment. The central network node receives a first Channel Quality Indicator, CQI, and a third CQI sent by the first wireless device. The first CQI has been computed by the first wireless device based on a first unique signal transmitted by the first network node. The third CQI has been computed by the first wireless device based on a second unique signal transmitted by the second network node. The central network node identifies the one of the first and the second network nodes having a better channel quality, based on the received first CQI and the third CQI. The central network node sends a first message to the identified network node, instructing it to transmit to the first wireless device.

The radio bearer supports the transfer of data over a radio connection between the wireless communication device (22) and the base station (20) with defined data transfer characteristics. The method includes performing a handshake with a second one of the wireless communication device (22) and the base station (20) to agree on a time to synchronously apply the change at the wireless communication device (22) and the base station (20). The method also includes, in accordance with the agreement, synchronously applying the change at that time.

    摘要: In an aspect, a wireless terminal, operating in a wireless communication system with distinct areas that each include base stations, transmits a data packet to a network node on a common channel. The data packet includes a header with an identifier that is an area-specific identifier for the wireless terminal. The wireless terminal has been allocated an area-specific identifier but not a cell-specific identifier. A network node of the wireless communication system receives the data packet sent from the wireless terminal. The network node associates the area-specific identifier for the wireless terminal in the data packet with a network-wide identifier for the wireless terminal and handles the data packet according to the network-wide identifier.

    摘要: Methods and devices supporting MIMO transmission/reception are discussed. For example, first and second data blocks may be transmitted/received respectively using first and second transmission/reception layers during a first TTI for rank two transmission/reception. A first HARQ process may be mapped to the first data block of the first layer for the first TTI. A second HARQ process may be mapped to the second data block of the second layer for the first TTI. Third, fourth, and fifth data blocks may be transmitted/received respectively using the first and second layers and using a third transmission/reception layer during a second TTI for rank three transmission/reception. The first HARQ process may be mapped to the third data block of the first layer for the second TTI. The second HARQ process may be mapped to the fourth and fifth data blocks of the second and third layers for the second TTI.
