摘要: According to some embodiments, a method is performed by a wireless device for adapting to intermittent network coverage in a non-terrestrial network (NTN). The method comprises: receiving information indicative of the availability of NTN network access; and determining whether the wireless device is within or outside of an area with NTN network access based in part on the received information and a location of the wireless device. Upon determining that the wireless device is outside the area with NTN network access, the wireless device operates in a reduced power mode in which one or more internal processes are suspended or disabled. Upon determining that the wireless device is within the area with NTN network access, the wireless device operates in a normal power mode in which one or more of the internal processes that were suspended or disabled are reactivated or enabled.

摘要: According to an aspect, a source node determines (1002) that a UE served by the source node is a candidate for conditional handover configuration. The source node sends (1004), to a target node for conditional handover of the UE, a conditional handover request that includes one or more parameters indicative of a likelihood that handover of the UE to the target node will be executed. The target node receives (1102) the request and parameters and allocates (1104) resources for the UE, taking into account the likelihood that handover of the first UE to the target node will be executed. The target node sends (1106) handover configuration information for the first UE to the source node, in response to the conditional handover request.

摘要: In certain embodiments, a method performed by a first radio access network (RAN) node comprises receiving, from a second RAN node, load metrics associated with a shared channel and listen-before-talk (LBT) configuration information. The LBT configuration information indicates how a determination is made whether the shared channel is occupied or available for communication between the second RAN node and a wireless device. The method further comprises performing one or more operations of the first RAN node based at least in part on the load metrics and the LBT configuration information received from the second RAN node.

摘要: A process allows a UE to acquire a System Frame Number (SFN) before accessing a target base station/node during a RACH-less handover. The SFN may be provided to the UE in various ways. For example, the SFN may be provided as part of a handover command message (e.g., RRCReconfiguration) or a master information block (MIB). In this manner, the UE acquires the SFN before accessing the target base station/node, which allows the target base station/node and the UE to effect certain timings for the handover. For example, the target base station/node and the UE may set time bounds in which the handover must occur. As another example, different types of uplink grants may be set.

Radio Resource Control (RRC) signaling is used to convey the information to the UE prior to or in conjunction with switching the UE from RRC_CONNECTED state to RRC_INACTIVE or RRC_IDLE state, a RRCConnectionRelease message is used to convey the information to the UE and the information is also provided to the UE in system information (SI).

The wireless device is connected to a first network element over at least a first and a second wireless link. The method comprises determining a transmission mode among alternative transmission modes for transmitting the uplink signalling message. Based on receiving the message (26), if each of one or more conditions are fulfilled, the wireless device (12) sends from the radio network layer (22) to the application layer (24) an instruction (30) on how the application layer (24) is to handle the application layer configuration (20-1).
