摘要： There are provided a tape cartridge-holding mechanism which is capable of reliably and immovably holding a tape cartridge in a cartridge compartment without spoiling the ease of mounting and removal of the tape cartridge, and a tape printing apparatus including the tape cartridge-holding mechanism. The tape cartridge-holding mechanism comprises a lid for opening/closing a cartridge compartment, at least one pair of left and right holding nails for engaging with a tape cartridge mounted in the cartridge compartment and thereby sandwiching the tape cartridge such that the holding nails press the tape cartridge against a bottom surface of the cartridge compartment, and an urging mechanism arranged in contact with at least one of the pair of holding nails, for urging the holding nail in a direction of sandwiching the tape cartridge as closing operation of the lid is carried out.

摘要： A character information processing apparatus prints at least one line of an input character string on a printing medium having a size limited at least in width thereof. There is stored information of settings concerning at least one attribute of a first kind of predetermined attributes concerning a layout of characters of the input character string and a second kind of predetermined attributes which can be set to the characters of the input character string on character-by-character basis, in a manner correlating the information of the settings with the input character string. A first instruction signal is generated to start a modification process for modifying the information of the settings. In response to the first instruction signal, the information of the settings stored in the attribute information storage means is modified by using menu screens containing, as menu options, information of all settings which can be set to the first kind of the predetermined attributes and the second kind of the predetermined attributes. A second instruction signal is generated for directly instructing modification of the information of the settings. In response to the second instruction signal, the information of the settings is modified according to a cyclic order assigned to a plurality of settings of the first kind of the predetermined attributes and the second kind of the predetermined attributes.

摘要： An apparatus, a method and a program are provided, each of which is intended to produce small prints. A variety of graphics are useful as framing elements for outer framing and tabulation with no need for increasing the volume of information to be prestored. One optional character, e.g., a pictogram, can be designated as a front ruling element and/or a rear ruling element for outer framing and tabulation. The optional character is chosen from among characters capable of input as character elements in lines of input characters. Upon execution of a print command, dot development is performed with respect to the front ruling portion and/or the rear ruling portion by utilizing fonts as character elements. Line types for upper ruling and lower ruling can also be designated, thereby effecting dot development depending upon the designated types of lines.

摘要： A label to be attached to a linear or bar-shaped object is created by printing on a translucent printing tape and cutting off a printed tape part in a width direction of the printing tape. For creating the label, the printed tape part is divided parallel to its longitudinal direction and a print region where printing is performed is set. Printing is performed in the print region and the printed tape part is cut off. This region setting is performed in such a manner that the print region is overlaid with a non-print region, i.e., a non-print part in attaching the label around the object from an edge portion of the printed tape part in its width direction.
