摘要: The invention provides an apparatus, method, and program for producing small prints, in which function of using an input character string for transfer at different timing is further strengthened to improve usability of the user. In the invention, already produced input data includes information on the input character string already transferred to a print medium. Pieces of already produced input data are stored so that the number of pieces of already produced input data is not more than the upper limit number. In a series of processes starting from a direction for producing the print medium, the storage of the already produced input data is performed in the case of the first transfer for the input character string which is currently transferred. Call of the already produced input data is performed according to the user's selection from the pieces of stored already produced input data, and the character string concerning the called already produced input data is returned to the input character string to which input edit can be performed.

摘要: An apparatus, a method and a program are provided, each of which is intended to produce small prints. A variety of graphics are useful as framing elements for outer framing and tabulation with no need for increasing the volume of information to be prestored. One optional character, e.g., a pictogram, can be designated as a front ruling element and/or a rear ruling element for outer framing and tabulation. The optional character is chosen from among characters capable of input as character elements in lines of input characters. Upon execution of a print command, dot development is performed with respect to the front ruling portion and/or the rear ruling portion by utilizing fonts as character elements. Line types for upper ruling and lower ruling can also be designated, thereby effecting dot development depending upon the designated types of lines.

摘要: There is provided a tape printing apparatus and method that enables reliable discharge of a cut-off tape strip from the apparatus. Print data to be printed is input, and a tape length tp (tp>0) is calculated based on the input print data. Then, a tape length t is set based on the calculation tape length tp, and a tape is cut to the set tape length t. In the step of setting the tape length, it is determined whether or not the calculation tape length tp is smaller than a length (a+x) obtained by adding a predetermined length x (x≧0) to a length a (a≧0) between a cutting position at which the tape is cut through and a position of an exit via which a cut-off strip of the tape is discharged out of an apparatus. Then, when it is determined that tp

摘要: A fixing device includes a heating rotator and a pressure rotator pressed against the heating rotator to form a fixing nip therebetween, through which a recording medium bearing a toner image is conveyed. A plurality of first recesses is scattered on a circumferential face of the heating rotator. A plurality of second recesses is scattered on a circumferential face of the pressure rotator. Each of the second recesses is greater than each of the first recesses.

摘要: According to one embodiment, a method is disclosed for manufacturing a semiconductor light emitting device. The method can include forming a nitride semiconductor layer including a light emitting layer on a first substrate having an unevenness, bonding the nitride layer to a second substrate, and separating the first substrate from the nitride layer by irradiating the nitride layer with light. The forming the nitride layer includes leaving a cavity in a space inside a depression of the unevenness while forming a thin film on the depression. The film includes a same material as part of the nitride layer. The separating includes causing the film to absorb part of the light so that intensity of the light applied to a portion of the nitride layer facing the depression is made lower than intensity of the light applied to a portion facing a protrusion of the unevenness.
