    摘要: A vehicular seating apparatus includes an assistant driver's seat mounted in the interior of a driver cabin of a vehicle and above a service hole on an engine deck raised at a central part of a floor located in the proximity of a driver's seat. The apparatus includes a transverse displacement mechanism for displacing the assistant driver's seat in the transverse direction and a transverse leap-up mechanism for upwardly turning the assistant driver's seat about one end of a seat cushion of the assistant driver's seat located at the side of the driver's seat. A seat frame is provided with a longitudinal slide mechanism for slidably displacing the assistant driver's seat in the longitudinal direction. The apparatus assures that a driver can walk by the side of the assistant driver's seat to reach the rear part of a driver cabin while maintaining good engine service performance. Further, the driver can enjoy excellent driving comfort by virtue of various operations for displacement.

    摘要: A method for treating a gas liquor to remove polluting substances with a stable treating efficiency and at a high rate which comprises the steps of(A) pre-treating a gas liquor discharged from a quenching of coke oven gas, the gas liquor containing ammonia, phenols, thiocyanate compounds, cyanide compounds, suspended solids and oils, to reduce the ammonia content of the gas liquor to about 1,000 ppm or less;(B) subjecting the gas liquor from step (A) to a first biological treatment comprising treating the gas liquor treated in step (A) with microorganisms,(C) subjecting the gas liquor from step (B) to a second biological treatment comprising treating the gas liquor treated in step (B) in an aerating tank including a mixture of suspended solids comprising powdered activated carbon and activated sludge mixed with the gas liquor, and(D) adding an iron salt to the gas liquor from step (C) to cause coagulation and sedimentation.

    摘要: An axial-position adjustment apparatus is used to adjust the axial position of an arm shaft equipped with paper roll support arms. The arm shaft is supported rotatably and axially movably on a frame in a paper web feed unit and rotated by means of a shaft-rotating apparatus located at one end portion of the arm shaft. The axial-position adjustment apparatus has a moving member including a male screw and connected to the arm shaft in such a manner as to be rotatable and axially immovable in relation to the arm shaft; a guide member having a threaded hole formed therein, the male screw of the moving member being screwed in the threaded hole, and the guide member being provided in such a manner as to be nonrotatable and axially immovable in relation to the frame; and a drive unit for rotating the moving member. The moving member and the guide member are located adjacent to the shaft-rotating apparatus. The drive unit is provided on a support member axially immovably connected to the arm shaft.

    摘要: A front body construction of a motor vehicle includes a lower dash panel for separating an engine compartment and a cabin and a cowl portion provided on the lower dash panel such that a lower end of a windshield is supported at an upper portion of the cowl portion. The cowl portion includes an upper dash panel attached to an upper end portion of the lower dash panel so as to form a bottom wall of the cowl portion and a front cowl panel attached to an upper face of the upper dash panel so as to form a front wall of the cowl portion. The front cowl panel has, in a lateral direction of a vehicle body, opposite sides and a central portion such that space for an auxiliary unit is provided not only forwards of the front cowl panel in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle body, but also on at least one of the opposite sides of the front cowl panel. At least one of the opposite sides of the front cowl panel is disposed rearwards of the central portion of the front cowl panel in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body, and the lower end of the front cowl panel is disposed, on at least one of the opposite sides of the front cowl panel, at a location identical with that of or rearwards of an upper end of the lower dash panel in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body.
