    摘要: An ink jet recording head includes a liquid discharge head unit having discharge ports and ink flow paths; a liquid container holder unit capable of holding liquid containers and having supply paths for supplying liquid to the liquid discharge head units; and a buffer chamber for allowing gas to exist in the liquid supply paths, the buffer chamber being formed by coupling the liquid discharge head to the liquid supply holder unit. The ink jet recording head enables the buffer chamber allowing to gas to exist to be sufficiently cleaned, and requires no additional process for the formation of the buffer chamber thereof. Furthermore, the ink jet recording head can inhibit ink oscillations in flow paths during ink discharge to keep a stable discharging state, thereby acquiring a high-quality image at all times.

    摘要: In a flexible wiring board for use in, for example, a liquid discharge head, wires disposed on a substrate in parallel are covered with a film material. The flexible wiring board is bendable towards one of a front surface side and a back surface side of the substrate and includes a bending line. The bending line is formed by bending the flexible wiring board along a bending direction crossing a longitudinal direction of the wires. The bending line contains the wires. Both ends of the flexible wiring board in the bending direction are located on the bending line. A distance between one of the wires located closest to one end of the flexible wiring board and the one end is larger on the bending line than in another part of the flexible wiring board. Accordingly, even if the flexible wiring board is bent at a small bend radius, peeling does not easily occur between a base film and a cover film.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for accurately and rapidly correcting a printing characteristic of a printhead, a printhead whose printing characteristic is corrected by the above apparatus, and a printing apparatus using the printhead. In the apparatus for correcting the printing characteristic of the printhead, n kinds of printing control signal patterns are used to a full line printhead, printing patterns are experimentally printed in response to the printing control signal patterns on a printing medium and a reference density distribution is generated from one of n kinds of the printing patterns printed. Then, one of the n kinds of printing control signal patterns is selected for each of a plurality of printing elements such that a density value on each pixel is equal or close to the reference density distribution. In this case, a similar selection is carried out on another reference density distribution generated on the basis of another one of the n kinds of printing patterns, and an optimum one of the n kinds of printing control signal patterns is determined as correction data.

    摘要: In the liquid discharge recording head provided with a stopper member formed of an elastic member to be penetrated by a hollow needle member for liquid supply into a liquid preserving chamber in the recording head, the invention enables smooth insertion of the front end of the needle member into the stopper member without insertion failure. The liquid discharge recording head is provided with a head chip having a nozzle for discharging liquid, and a frame member connected thereto and having a liquid chamber for containing the liquid to be supplied thereto. A hole portion is formed in a portion of the frame member, and joint rubber is pressed into such hole portion. In the joint rubber, there is formed in advance a fissure hole, to be penetrated by a hollow needle provided in the main body of the liquid discharge recording apparatus and having fissures in not less than three directions from the crossing center of the fissures, in a plane perpendicular to the direction of depth of the hole portion.
