Disclosed is an electronic imaging apparatus which has different drive modes of an image pickup device for image shooting between an image for detecting the face of a subject and an image for detecting a feature value for specifying an individual based on the detected face area. For example, the image for detecting the face of the subject can be shot in a drive mode for a low-resolution image and an image for detecting a feature value can be shot in a drive mode for a high-resolution image. For example, the drive mode for a low-resolution image can be a drive mode for live view display, while the drive mode for a high-resolution image can be a drive mode for shooting a still image.

A scanner system has a scanner and a personal computer (PC). On the scanner side, a fluorescent lamp for illumination is turned on, and step driving of a CCD is performed in accordance with the state of a resolution selection SW under the control of a RISC. Simultaneously, a sensing operation in the main scanning direction is performed. The sensed image signal is subjected to predetermined image processing and transferred to the PC side. Upon completion of scanning of one frame of a film, information (scanning parameters) associated with the resolution and sub-scanning direction is transferred to the PC side. The fluorescent lamp is turned off, and processing on the scanner side is ended. On the PC side for performing information processing, the correction amount for color misregistration of the sensed image signal is determined on the basis of the scanning parameters with reference to a table held in advance, in which optimum correction processing is defined, under the control of a CPU. The images of the respective color components are shifted in the sub-scanning direction on the basis of the correction amount, thereby performing color misregistration correction. The result is subjected to predetermined conversion and externally sent.

An imaging device of the present invention, for taking and storing movies and still pictures, comprises an image sensor, an imaging processing section, and a control section for controlling exposure of the image sensor and controlling taking of an optical image, wherein the control section, when taking still pictures while shooting a movie, carries out exposure by dividing a time corresponding to a single frame of the movie into a plurality of times, applies processing by the imaging processing section to acquire a plurality of image data, performs positional alignment of the subject image of the plurality of image data and combines a plurality of image data, and stores as still picture data, and combines a plurality of image data without carrying out positional alignment of the subject image of the priority of image data and stores as a single frame of the movie data.

This invention provides a chemical supply system for supplying chemical solution from a chemical tank. The chemical supply system includes a chemical supply pump, a pressure adjuster configured to suction the chemical solution into the pump chamber by setting the pressure of working gas to a suction pressure, a switching controller configured to switch the suction-side opening-closing valve to the open state for starting to fill the pump chamber with the chemical solution, a pressure detector configured to detect at least one of a gas pressure in a space connected to the working chamber and a gas pressure in the working chamber when the suction-side opening-closing valve is switched to the open state and starts an inflow of the chemical solution to the pump chamber, and a suction controller configured to control the suction pressure applied to the working chamber by the pressure adjuster, based on a detection result of the pressure detector.

An image display apparatus includes a display which displays an image based on an image signal. An ambient light measuring unit measures the intensity of ambient light around the display. A brightness distribution measuring unit measures a brightness distribution in a scene when the image signal is obtained. A parameter calculator calculates a correction parameter for correcting a partial contrast of the image based on the ambient light intensity and brightness distribution in the scene. A contrast correction unit corrects a partial contrast of the image by correcting the image signal by using the calculated correction parameter.

A liquid chemical supply system that performs accurate pressure feedback control and controls the discharge flow rate of liquid chemical with high precision, even when the pressure setting value of the operation pressure differs due to changes in the type of liquid chemical, includes a pump having a pump chamber and an operation chamber separated by a diaphragm comprised of a flexible membrane. The intake and discharge of liquid chemical is performed in accordance with the change in pressure inside the operation chamber. An electro-pneumatic regulator supplies operation gas pressure to the operation chamber. A plurality of pressure sensors having different pressure detection ranges is provided for detecting the operation gas pressure. A controller selectively employs any of the detection results of the plurality of sensors in accordance with the pressure setting value of the operation air that is set for each use, and performs pressure feedback control.
