    摘要: A cabinet for housing computer devices with an internal air distribution system is disclosed. The cabinet includes an internal chamber defined by a side wall arrangement having at least a front wall. The cabinet includes a support structure for computer devices, wherein the support structure is positioned within the internal chamber of the cabinet. The air distribution device comprises an elongated duct defining a passageway for air distribution. The duct is positioned within the internal chamber and has a plurality of adjustable air discharge ports that are in fluid communication with the passageway. The air distribution device further includes an inlet fan in fluid communication with the passageway. By precisely directing cool air to a frontal portion of the computer devices, the air distribution device reduces the temperature gradients within the cabinet and the quantity of heat that accumulates in the cabinet during operation of the computer devices.

    摘要: An inertial (“INS”)/GPS receiver uses injected alignment data to determine the alignment of the INS sub-system when the receiver is in motion during start-up. The alignment data is determined from parameterized surface information, measured GPS velocity, and a known or predetermined angular relationship between the vehicle on which the receiver is mounted and an inertial measurement reference, or body, frame associated with the accelerometers and gyroscopes of the inertial measuring unit (“IMU”). The parameterized surface information, which provides a constraint, may be the orientation of the surface over which the vehicle that houses the receiver is moving. The receiver uses the initial GPS position to determine the location of the vehicle on the parameterized surface, and thus, the known surface orientation. The receiver then determines the roll, pitch and heading of the vehicle on the surface using the associated GPS velocity vector. Thereafter, the receiver uses the calculated roll, pitch and heading of the vehicle and the known or predetermined angular relationship between the vehicle and the IMU body frame to determine a rotation matrix that relates the IMU body frame to a computation or referenced frame used by the receiver.

    摘要: A system consisting of a base GPS receiver with a clear view of the sky, one or more remote GPS receivers with restricted views of the sky and a processing center that batch processes range information provided by the GPS receivers determines the positions of the remote GPS receivers to within tight tolerances. The base GPS receiver and the remote GPS receivers produce range information based on the satellite signals that the respective receivers can track at a given time, and provide the range information to the processing center. The range information includes both code and carrier measurements for each of the signals that are being tracked by the respective GPS receivers. The center collects the range information over an extended period of time, for example, hours, days or weeks, and then batch processes the collected information in multiple passes through the data, to calculate the precise latitude, longitude and height of the receiver. The center batch processes the data using a floating ambiguity filter that, after a first pass through the data, is initialized with the position calculated in an earlier pass. The center also calculates the quality of the collected range information by fixing the position and position covariance of the floating ambiguity filter and using double differences with the base GPS receiver measurements, to ensure that the information used in subsequent position calculations is sufficiently reliable.

By precisely directing cool air to a frontal portion of the computer devices, the air distribution device reduces the temperature gradients within the cabinet and the quantity of heat that accumulates in the cabinet during operation of the computer devices.
