摘要: A latch mechanism for releasably latching a first member to a second member. The latch mechanism includes a bracket adapted to be attached to the first member and bolt pivotally coupled to the bracket. A handle is pivotally coupled to the bracket and is operatively associated with the bolt such that the handle selectively pivots the bolt between a latched and unlatched position. A trigger is pivotally coupled to the handle and a locking member is pivotally coupled to the trigger. The locking member is adapted to releasably couple the trigger to the bracket to prevent pivotal movement of the handle and the bolt from the latched position. The trigger includes the tool receiving recess such that the latch mechanism may be moved between the latched and unlatched positions with the mechanical advantage provided by the tool.

摘要: A latching system for releasably securing a first member to a second member in a closed position. The latching system includes a command latch assembly comprising a hook latch assembly including a handle selectively moveable from a first handle position toward a second handle position and a hook member adapted to selectively engage a first keeper when the handle is in the first handle position and to disengage from the first keeper when the handle is moved to the second handle position. The latching system also includes a remotely located slave latch assembly comprising a pin latch assembly adapted to secure a second keeper to the pin latch assembly when the handle of the hook latch assembly is in the first handle position and to disengage the second keeper when the handle of the hook latch assembly is moved to the second handle position.

摘要: An apparatus, system and method including a latching device for displaceably retaining a panel relative to a frame. The latching device includes at least a bolt which is carried on the latching device and is operatively associated with the panel to prevent disengagement of the panel. The latching device includes at least one pressure responsive device operatively coupled to the bolt to retain the bolt in a desired position and release the bolt when a predetermined pressure differential occurs relative to two, generally opposite, sides of the panel or when a pressure decrease occurs on one side of the panel.

摘要: A damping device using viscous shear to moderate substantially linear movement. The device has a housing with one or more reservoirs containing a viscous fluid, such as silicone, and one or more retractable struts that can extend from the housing. The strut has a portion formed as a toothed rack, and an associated axle has a pinion gear on a portion associated with the toothed rack of the strut. The teeth of the rack mate with teeth of the pinion gear. A disk, or preferably series of spaced disks, can be mounted on the axle inside the reservoir to dampen linear movement of the strut, from shear with a static plate adjacent to the disk on the axle. The relatively fixed, spaced disks or plates are adjacent to or interdigitated with the disks on the gear axles to dampen linear movement of a strut.

摘要: A latch mechanism for use in attaching portions or panels on an aircraft. The latch mechanism and related method include a detent mechanism for releasably coupling a bolt portion of the latch to a handle portion of the latch. The latch allows the bolt and handle to conjointly pivot with respect to a corresponding mounting bracket. The latch operates to relieve pressure in an excess pressure condition when the forces associated with the detention mechanism are overcome.

摘要: Disclosed is a front-mounted hinge for mounting a door to a vehicle structure. The hinge includes a housing, a translating base, a hinge strap, and a cover assembly. The housing mounts to the exterior surface of the vehicle structure, and the hinge strap mounts to the exterior face of the door. The translating base is slidably mounted to the interior surface of the housing. The translating base moves relative to the housing between an abutting position, in which the translating base abuts a mounting plate of the housing, and an elevated position, in which the translating base is moved away from the mounting plate. The hinge strap is pivotally connected to the translating base so that when the hinge strap is pivoted, the translating base is caused to move between the abutting and elevated positions and the door moves between closed and open positions.

摘要: Disclosed is an increased strength dogging mechanism operable by a handle for releasably securing a door on each side of the door to a structure. The dogging mechanism includes a plurality of dog keepers each having a ramp portion and a seating portion mounted to each side of the door. A dog having a roller is rotatably mounted to engage a cooperatively associated dog keeper. A mounting bolt extends through the structure and through the approximate center of each dog. A drive assembly which is movable by the handle between open and closed positions moves each dog, simultaneously, between unlocked and locked positions. As the dog is rotated to the locked position, the roller of each dog engages the ramp portion of its associated dog keeper and rolls upon the ramp and into the seating portion. The action of the dogs rolling upon the ramps of the dog keepers on each side of the door moves the door perpendicularly into the structure compressing a seal and rigidly secures the door on all sides to the structure to form a waterproof enclosure.

摘要: Disclosed is a translating handle assembly that actuates a latch mechanism to releasably secure a door to a structure. The handle assembly includes an interior handle, an exterior handle, and a translating shaft. The translating shaft is connected between the interior handle and the exterior handle. The interior handle is rotatable between closed and open positions and the exterior handle rotates in unison with the interior handle between closed and open positions. In the closed position, the exterior handle is disposed within the recess of an exterior handle housing. Rotation of the interior handle between closed and open positions causes the translating shaft to move axially between non-extended and extended positions displacing the exterior handle axially out of the recess of the exterior handle housing.
