    摘要: A device for implanting a femoral component including a base assembly, a handle slidably attached to base assembly, a locking member slidably coupled to handle, and a locking actuator. Locking member has a locking end extending from handle, through an opening in base assembly and through notch in implant. Locking end has locking lip extending transversely from locking member. Locking member is movable between a locked position, wherein lip is positioned at a first distance from upper surface of base assembly, and an unlocked position, wherein lip is positioned at a second distance from upper surface. When locking member is in the locked position, lip is engagable with proximal surface of implant at a location proximal the notch thereby gripping the implant between the upper surface and lip. Locking actuator is operatively engaged with locking member and is operable to move locking member between locked position and unlocked position.

    摘要: An orthopedic knee component for implanting within a single compartment of a human knee includes, in a first embodiment a tibial tray having a superior surface having a plurality of tabs disposed along an exterior edge thereof, a bearing component having a superior surface adapted to articularly engage a femoral knee prosthesis and a circumferential groove disposed therearound with which the tabs of the tibial tray cooperatively engage such that the bearing component is movable relative to the tibial tray. In a second embodiment, an orthopedic knee component for implanting within a single compartment of a human knee includes: a tibial tray in supporting engagement with a bearing component, wherein the bearing component includes a superior surface adapted to articularly engage a femoral knee prosthesis and a pair of slots disposed along the superior surface of the bearing component, the femoral component having a pair of rails extending from the articulating surface thereof such that the rails can slidingly engage the slots, and such that the bearing component is movable relative to the tibial tray.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for correcting limb alignment in a unicondylar knee arthroplasty and linking the distal femoral cut and the proximal tibial cut. Alignment rods are connected to a spacing apparatus to facilitate correction of limb alignment. The alignment rods are positioned along the mechanical axis of the femur and the tibia and the knee joint is positioned to correct alignment. A spacing apparatus is positioned in the relevant knee compartment and utilized to hold the knee in position to correct limb alignment. The spacing apparatus includes a femoral cut slot through which the distal femoral cut is made and further includes tibial affixment apertures through which a headless securing device can be positioned to secure the spacing apparatus to the tibia. After the distal femoral resection is complete, the spacing apparatus is removed, with the headless securing devices remaining positioned in the tibia. The headless securing devices are used as a reference for securing a tibial cut block to the tibia for making the proximal tibial resection. With the mechanism of the present invention, the knee can be placed in flexion when making the proximal tibial cut and the distal femoral cut is linked to the proximal tibial cut.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for correcting limb alignment in a unicondylar knee arthroplasty and linking the distal femoral cut and the proximal tibial cut.
