    摘要: A color converter capable of conversions between various kinds of color signals appropriate for use over a network (i.e., RGB signals, various luminance/chromaticity separated signals that are expressed by linear transformations of said RGB signals, and CIE LAB signals, which signals may or may not be gamma-corrected) and the internal color signals of devices connected to the network can be realized by rewriting associated coefficients and constants using the same circuit. Accurate color conversions can always be accomplished with an inexpensive system layout.

    摘要: When the size output for an image is equal to or smaller than a predetermined value (e.g., index printing), a printing apparatus performs an image expansion/reduction process by using an interpolation method whereby high speed processing is enabled while an inferior image quality is provided, or when the output size is greater than a predetermined value (e.g., the normal printing of a single sheet), employs an interpolation method for a high quality image to perform the expansion/reduction. Further, when the output image size is equal to or smaller than the predetermined value, the printing apparatus 1 skips the noise reduction process and the sharpening process to increase the processing speed.

    摘要: A color space of input image information sent from an image input device is recognized, and, if it is not the standard color space, it is judged whether the input image information is associated with color correction data. If the input image information is not on the standard color space but associated with color correction data, it is converted to image information on the standard color space using the associated color correction data. If the input image information is neither on the standard color space nor associated with color correction data, it is converted to image information on the standard color space using color correction data read from a storage device. A conversion device converts the image data on the standard color space to YMCK image information, which is sent to an image output device.

    摘要: A print processing apparatus realizes high speed processing of input data which includes various types of drawing objects such as images, graphics and characters. In the apparatus, input data generated by an input data generating unit is converted into intermediate data in an intermediate data generating element. An intermediate data order controlling element rearranges intermediate data pieces based on overlap therebetween and classifies them into groups, in each of which the data pieces can be processed in parallel. A group ID indicating a group for parallel processing, a hardware configuration ID and so on are assigned to the intermediate data piece. A rasterizing unit receives configuration data from a configuration data administering element, if necessary, in accordance with the hardware configuration ID assigned to the intermediate data piece, and rewrites a function of a reconfigurable rasterizing element under the control of the reconfiguration controlling element. The rasterizing unit rasterizes the intermediate data into dot data and provides it to an outputting unit.
