    摘要： There is disclosed a light-sensitive material comprising, in a hydrophilic colloid provided on a base, a color-developing agent represented by formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an aryl group, or a heterocyclic group; X.sup.1, X.sup.3, and X.sup.5 each represent a hydrogen atom, a nitro group, a cyano group, an alkylsulfonyl group, an arylsulfonyl group, an alkylsulfinyl group, an arylsulfinyl group, a sulfamoyl group, a carbamoyl group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, an aryloxycarbonyl group, an acyl group, a trifluoromethyl group, or a heterocyclic group; and X.sup.2 and X.sup.4 each represent a hydrogen atom, a nitro group, a cyano group, an alkylsulfonyl group, an arylsulfonyl group, an alkylsulfinyl group, an arylsulfinyl group, a sulfamoyl group, a carbamoyl group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, an aryloxycarbonyl group, an acyl group, a trifluoromethyl group, a halogen atom, an acyloxy group, an acylthio group, or a heterocyclic group; with the proviso that the sum of the Hammett .sigma.p values of X.sup.1, X.sup.3, and X.sup.5 and the Hammett .sigma.m values of X.sup.2 and X.sup.4 is 1.50 or more but 3.80 or below. There is also disclosed a novel color-developing agent that can be built in. By using the color-developing agent, the light-sensitive material can attain a rapid and simple formation of an image.

    摘要： A silver halide color photographic material comprising a support having thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer, wherein the silver halide color photographic material contains an image forming compound represented by the following general formula (I):(Dye--X).sub.q --Y (I)wherein Dye represents a cyan dye group represented by the general formula (II) described below or a precursor thereof; X represents a chemical bond or a linking group; Y represents a group having a property of releasing Dye in correspondence or counter-correspondence to development of a light-sensitive silver salt having a latent image distributed imagewise and making a difference in diffusibility between the dye thus-released and the compound represented by (Dye--X).sub.q --Y; Dye and X are connected with each other by C or E in the general formula (II); and q represents an integer of 1 or 2, and when q is 2, the two groups (Dye--X) may be the same or different: ##STR1## wherein A represents a halogen atom, --OR.sup.1 or --SR.sup.1 (wherein R.sup.1 represents an alkyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group); B represents an electron withdrawing group having a Hammett's op value of not less than 0.3; C represents a chemical bond, a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aryl group, a halogen atom, --OR.sup.4, --CONR.sup.4 R.sup.5, --SO.sub.2 NR.sup.4 R.sup.5, --N(R.sup.3)--COR.sub.4 or --N(R.sup.3)--SO.sub.2 R.sub.4 (wherein R.sup.3, R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 each represents a hydrogen atom or a group selected from those defined for R.sup.1, or R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 may combine with each other to form a 5-membered or 6-membered ring); E represents a chemical bond, a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a halogen atom, --OR.sup.4, --CONR.sup.4 R.sup.5, --SO.sub.2 NR.sup.4 R.sup.5, --N(R.sup.5)--COR.sup.4 or --N(R.sup.5)--SO.sub.2 R.sup.4 (wherein R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 have the same meaning as defined above); and G represents a hydroxy group or a salt thereof, or a group selected from those represented by the formula (T), (U) or (V): ##STR2## wherein R.sup.21 and R.sup.22, which may be the same or different, each represents an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aralkyl group, an aryl group, a heterocyclic group, an alkylthio group, an arylthio group, an alkoxy group, an aryloxy group or an amino group, or R.sup.21 and R.sup.22 may combine with each other to form a 5-membered or 6-membered ring.
