    摘要: Color photographic silver halide materials, especially color photographic papers, are processed effectively with reduced iron retention after bleaching with a biodegradable bleaching composition. Bleaching is accomplished using an iron chelate of a biodegradable chelating ligand in the presence of a polyphosphonic acid. This bleaching step is followed by fixing using a fixing composition that includes a fixing agent and a polycarboxylic acid.

    摘要: Tungsten carboxylate compounds useful for coating interdigitated electrodes used in hydrogen sulfide gas sensors are disclosed. A method of coating electrodes with the compounds using a precise solution casting technique such as spin-coating or casting, dip-casting or spray-casting techniques is also described. Electrodes which are solution coated with the compounds may be used to fabricate superior quality chemiresistor sensors for use in hydrogen sulfide gas sensing devices by heating the carboxylates above 350.degree. C. to decompose certain carboxylates to WO.sub.3 and others to sodium tungstate.

    摘要: Substituted hydroxylamine antioxidants can be prepared by reacting hydroxylamine or a mono-substituted hydroxylamine with an epoxide. The antioxidant reaction product is not removed from the reaction mixture, but is used without separation after combination with a color developer to provide a photographic color developer composition. The antioxidants are highly water soluble and thus exhibit no objectionable odor.

    摘要: An electrochemical cell for use in gas detection includes a cell body having an electrolyte cavity and a separate sensor cavity. The sensor cavity holds stacked sensor elements including a counter electrode, electrolyte mat, reference electrode and sensing electrode. A wick draws the electrolyte from the electrolyte cavity to the electrolyte mat. The sensing electrode closes off the sensor cavity and seals the counter and reference electrodes therein. The only gas which contacts the counter and reference electrodes is that which passes through the sensing electrode or is generated by the counter electrode and becomes dissolved in the electrolyte.
