摘要: A robot apparatus in which the storage capacity necessary for holding motion data is diminished in representing the emotion by motions exploiting the body resources. In demonstrating component behaviors of the robot apparatus, the basic posture, as the posture at the start time of one or plural movements forming a component behavior, is changed to express the emotion. Specifically, the robot apparatus includes variations for expressing the emotion for the basic posture (basic posture for the emotion). The respective resources are actuated from the basic posture for the emotion and reversion is made again to the basic posture to demonstrate the emotion.

摘要: An information processing apparatus includes information input units, an event detecting unit, and an information-integration processing unit. Observed values including user identification data are obtained based on image and sound information from the information input units such as a camera and a microphone. Target data set with plural user confidence factors is updated and user identification is then performed. The user identification information in the observed values is used for updating the simultaneous occurrence probability of candidate data by which targets are corresponded with respective users. The updated value of such probability is used for calculating the user confidence factors corresponding to the targets.

摘要: A voice chat system includes a plurality of information processing apparatuses that performs a voice chat while performing speech recognition and a search server connected to the plural information processing apparatuses via a communication network. The search server discloses a search keyword list containing the search keywords searched by the search server to at least one of the plural information processing apparatuses. The at least one information processing apparatus includes a recognition word dictionary generating unit that acquires the search keyword list from the search server to generate a recognition word dictionary containing words for use in the speech recognition, and a speech recognition unit that performs speech recognition on voice data obtained from a dialog of the conversation during the voice chat by referencing a recognition database containing the recognition word dictionary.

摘要: An electronic apparatus includes a storage section, a first generation section, a second generation section, an update section, and an output section. The storage section stores contents, titles thereof, and viewing history information on viewing histories of the contents by a user. The first generation section generates, based on the stored viewing history information, recommendation display information containing as a recommended-content list a list of titles of contents that the user has not viewed among the stored contents. The second generation section generates dependence information on first and second contents among the stored contents by analyzing text information on a network, the second content being created dependently on the first content. The update section updates, based on the dependence information, the recommendation display information so that the user is prevented from viewing the second content before the first content. The output section outputs the updated recommendation display information.

摘要: A pedal device including a base and a pedal plate supported by the base in an inclinable manner and depressed by an operator. An urging mechanism urges the pedal plate in a direction opposite to the depression direction of the pedal plate. A force release mechanism releases the pedal plate from an urging force applied by the urging mechanism. A holding mechanism switches the pedal plate between a state in which the pedal plate is held in an operable manner by applying a resistance force resisting operation of the pedal plate and a state in which the resistance force to operation of the pedal plate is released and the urging force of the urging mechanism is effective.

摘要: A testing circuit 1, provided between an input terminal IN of an LSI 2 and the CSA 20, includes a switch NSW (a third switch), a capacitor CT which is connected in parallel to the switch NSW, and switches TC1 (a first switch) and TC2 (a second switch) which are connected in series across the capacitor CT. With this arrangement, the circuit including the capacitor CT and the CSA 20 can serve as a reverse amplifier circuit and can input a voltage waveform instead of the charges. Therefore, a conventional charge supply circuit is not necessary when the testing of a reading circuit 16 is carried out.
