    Abstract: To provide context-aware audio navigation instructions, a server device obtains sets of audio navigation instructions previously provided to users along with sensor data descriptive of a context in which the audio navigation instructions were provided and an indication of whether a driver correctly responded to the audio navigation instructions. The server device trains a machine learning model using this data, where the machine learning model identifies audio navigation instruction parameters for a particular context. In response to a request for navigation directions, the server device receives sensor data from the client computing device generating the request that is indicative of the environment surrounding the client computing device. The server device then applies the sensor data and navigation instructions to the machine learning model to generate a set of audio navigation instructions responsive to the request. The server device provides the set of audio navigation instructions to the client computing device.

    Abstract: An information processing system includes a first device that is mounted on a mobile object boarded by an occupant, and a second device that is used by a user at a location different from the mobile object, in which the first device includes a first speaker configured to output a voice uttered by the user, and a camera unit that is provided on a predetermined seat of the mobile object and has one or more cameras including at least an indoor camera capable of capturing an image of an interior of the mobile object viewed from the predetermined seat, the second device includes a detection device for detecting an orientation direction, which is a face orientation or gaze direction, of the user, and a display device configured to display an image corresponding to the orientation direction viewed from the predetermined seat among images captured by the camera unit.

    Abstract: To determine whether a user is authorized to make a particular audio request during navigation, a client device receives a request for navigation directions from a starting location to a destination location. The client device provides a set of navigation directions for traversing to the destination location along a route. During a navigation session, an audio request related to the route is received from a user. The client device determines an authorization level of the user based on the audio request, and provides a response to the request based on the authorization level of the user.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and processes for interacting with mapping applications. In one example, a virtual assistant server can efficiently communicate with a map server to provide a user with map data in response to spoken user requests received at a user device. In another example, communicatively coupled electronic devices can be synchronized such that a location marker generated on one device can be displayed on the other device. In another example, an electronic device can display simplified views of individual route directions that can be updated based on movement of the user or in response to user requests. In another example, an electronic device can selectively display an interface including a current location of a user or an interface including a route to a predicted destination based on contextual information associated with the user. The interfaces can include affordances for launching an associated mapping application.
