摘要： A device for facilitating rapid and accurate determination or measurement of sedimentation rates of fluid suspensions, e.g. erythrocytes in blood plasma, includes a sedimentation tube having open upper and lower ends, a scale with a zero point adjacent the upper end of the tube, and means for selectively opening and closing the tube adjacent said upper end, said means having a surface portion extending across the tube when the tube is closed, which surface portion is located precisely at the zero point in the scale.

摘要： A dividable short catheter tube made of a modifying polymer intermixed with, or inserted into, a base polymer. The modifying polymer is usually one which is incompatible with the base polymer.The dividable short catheter tube is readily tearable longitudinally so that it can be removed from around a flexible catheter after the flexible catheter has been guided into a patient by means of the short catheter previously positioned in a body puncture.The tube can be extruded from a mixture of the two polymers or it can be extruded with modifying polymer longitudinal strips in walls of the base polymer.

摘要： A process for preparing finely divided mixtures of amphiphilic polymers and polycarboxylates, which comprises mixing(a) aqueous dispersions or colloidal aqueous solutions with at least one amphiphilic polymer, and(b) an aqueous solution of a polycarboxylatein a weight ratio of (a):(b) of from 1:1 to 1:20, each based on the solids, or dispersing at least one amphiphilic polymer in an aqueous solution of a polycarboxylate, and spray-drying the dispersions thus obtainable to form finely divided polymer mixtures, use of the finely divided polymer mixtures as ingredient of detergent and as laundry aftertreatment, and finely divided polymer mixtures having a particle size from 20 .mu.m to 3 mm prepared by the above-indicated process.
