    摘要: A drive unit for a door or a gate includes an electric motor, a detection unit for detecting the position of the door or gate, the detection unit being coupled to the motor and providing an identical pulse sequence with every rotation of the motor, wherein the duration of one pulse in the sequence is different from the duration of the other pulses in the sequence, which are equal. All detected pulses are stored in a non-volatile memory. The drive unit includes an electronic control and regulating circuit including an output stage for the electric motor and at least one memory, in which an operational program is stored providing a programmable learning procedure for an opening and closing movement of the door or gate based on the pulses provided by the detection unit.

    摘要: A door, especially a sectional door, is operated with the use of a drive unit with a drive gear, a clutch, and a position-detecting unit. The position-detecting unit detects the direction of rotation of the drive gear, detects the number of revolutions of the drive gear by pulses, and stores the pulses, taking the direction of rotation into consideration, in a nonvolatile memory. A data-processing unit is present in which different variable sequence programs are stored, which include not only safety-relevant programs but also a learning program. Reference values are determined by the position-detecting unit for a variable open position of the door, which position can be set as desired, and for a completely open position, which is limited by a stop, as well as for a closed position of the door are stored in a nonvolatile memory and are processed during automatic travel of the door. A door drive consists essentially of a drive unit with a drive gear and a running rail, wherein the drive unit can be moved along the running rail by a motor. The position of the drive unit is detected by a position-detecting unit and stored in a nonvolatile memory, and the drive unit and the drive gear are equipped with a clutch with a status monitor.

    摘要: A barrier operator includes a drive motor and a controller for causing the motor to move the barrier between open and closed positions and for monitoring parameters related to forces acting on the barrier during movement thereof. If no external entrapment device is connected to the controller, the controller automatically sets maximum control limit values which will effect stopping or reversing of the motor if an obstruction is encountered by the barrier. If an external entrapment device is connected to the controller, the controller requires a user to set the control limit values at least for movement of the barrier from an open position to a closed position. Audio or visual signal indicators associated with the controller alert the user to the requirement to set the control limits before the operator will effect movement of the barrier.

The panels are also connected to an auxiliary drive mechanism that is provided with energy by the panel as it slides into a closed position and that can move the panel when the clutch is deprived of current.
