摘要： A method and arrangement are provided for producing compound filters for products in the tobacco-processing industry. A filter tube, having a filter element in a central region of the filter tube, is supplied to a predetermined position. Predetermined portions of filtering material are then inserted into the filter tube from at least a first end of the filter tube so that filter segments form in at least a first part of the filter tube.

摘要： A turntable has an annulus of discrete pockets and is indexible about a vertical axis to position successive pockets at a first station at a level directly above a second station where an intermittently advanced web or strip of coherent blanks is acted upon by cooperating fixed and mobile knives to sever blanks which are thereupon transferred by a pneumatic conveyor along a straight path vertically upwardly into successive pockets of the turntable. The blanks are provided with flaps during transfer from the second station into the respective pockets by moving through a stationary mouthpiece, and the thus deformed blanks can be used as so-called shoulder pieces or understrips in hinged-lid packets for arrays of rod-shaped smokers' products.

摘要： The pot of a paster, such as a paster which can apply a flowable adhesive to a series of coherent blanks or to successive discrete blanks in a cigarette packing machine, receives a suitable adhesive from the discharge end of a suction nozzle. The latter has an intake end which can be introduced into supplies of adhesive in successive vessels of a series of two or more vessels. The suction nozzle carries a container which is at least partially filled with adhesive while the intake end of the nozzle draws adhesive from a vessel, and the thus at least partially filled container supplies adhesive to the intake end of the nozzle during transfer of the nozzle from an emptied vessel into a filled vessel. This ensures that the nozzle can supply adhesive to the paster while its intake end dips into the supply of adhesive in a vessel as well as while the intake end is being advanced from an emptied vessel into an at least partially filled vessel.

In the sample handling apparatus the lines are completely rinsed with replenishing liquid between taking samples. The sample handling apparatus may also be adapted for diluting the liquid samples in the test tubes and for feeding the diluted liquid samples to a measuring unit.

The commodities are advanced along an elongated path past a series of stations where the components of the containers are draped around successive commodities. 摘要： A wheel-shaped conveyor with radially extending pockets for discrete packets of cigarettes is indexible about a horizontal axis between the neighboring surfaces of two upright walls forming part of a support for the conveyor and flanking a selected portion of an arcuate path for successive packets in the respective pockets of the conveyor. The upright walls have orifices which direct streamlets of compressed air against the adjacent sidewalls of the packets advancing along the selected portion of the path so that the streamlets of air can promote setting of the freshly applied adhesive between the panels of those sidewalls of the packets which advance along the respective upright walls of the support. The streamlets of air establish cushions of air between the moving sidewalls of the packets and the stationary walls of the support to thus reduce the likelihood of defacing and/or otherwise damaging the sidewalls.

Each of the switchable coupling components is electrically coupled to an associated adjusting device and the computer-automated portion of the control system and is capable of being electrically coupled to the control instrument. Upon coupling of the control instrument to the switchable coupling component, control of the associated adjusting device is switched from the computer-controlled portion of the control system to the control instrument.
