摘要: A system, for interpreting information for a physician user or non-physician user, is described. The system includes a processing module configured to convert numerical data to at least one of a natural-language text and a machine vocalization. The at least one of the natural-language text and the machine vocalization describes a characteristic of the numerical data. The characteristic of the numerical data comprises at least one of a trend, a first derivative, a second derivative, a high value, a low value, and a time period, a pattern of repetition, an extrapolation, an interpolation, and a frequency. The physician user may enter data or receive data by voice alone through the backend database. The physician user may also order tests, labs or check on the same by voice alone.

摘要: Some embodiments of the invention provide an automated method for continuously monitoring at least one patient. The method continuously collects medical data about the patient from several different inputs. The method integrates the collected data, and continuously computes at least one severity score for the patient based on the integrated data. The method uses the severity scores to continuously monitor the patient. In some embodiments, integrating the data includes formatting the data so that that the data can be used to compute the severity score. Formatting the data in some embodiments includes using a set of database tables to convert the data. In some embodiments, the database tables are modifiable by a user. Some embodiments continuously compute multiple severity scores. The severity scores computed in some embodiments include the APACHE II score, the SAPS II score, the MEWS score, or user-defined severity scores.

摘要: An electronic music device for skaters is boot mounted and includes a sensor sensing skate states capturing forward backward direction of motion and inside outside lean. A sensory signal conditioning and calibration circuit converts mapped signals into audible tones. An audio amplifier powers wired or wireless headphones. The skater plays music with skates like a musician plays music on a musical instrument. The device tuned as different musical instruments, in a synchronized precision skating team allows musical composition performance. The skaters play the music with their skates creating musical and choreographic dance.

摘要: A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided to predict faults. Initially, a plurality of features are provided to a plurality of models. A subset of features is selected for each model. The plurality of features selected by a respective model is dependent upon a time scale associated with a respective model. As a result of their dependence upon different time scales, the plurality of selected features provided to a first model will differ from those provided to a second model. The plurality of models process the respective plurality of selected features. The outputs from the plurality of models are fused to generate a measure indicative of an impending fault. By providing different selected features to the models that are dependent upon the associated time scales and by then combining the outputs of the plurality of models, the resulting measure of an impending fault may accurately predict a fault well in advance of its occurrence.

摘要: A circuit interrupter for interrupting current on a line conductor is provided. The circuit interrupter includes separable contacts, a trip mechanism, a bimetal, a microprocessor, a series arc detection sequence, a low-pass filter circuit, and a high-pass filter circuit. The trip mechanism selectively opens the separable contacts when activated. The series arc detection sequence is resident on the microprocessor and includes a plurality of series fault detection algorithms. The low-pass filter circuit provides a low-pass signal to the series arc detection sequence. The high-pass filter circuit provides a high-pass signal to the series arc detection sequence. The sequence selects a particular algorithm from the plurality of algorithms based on the low-pass signal. The sequence calculates a plurality of statistical features from the high-pass signal and sends an output signal to activate the trip mechanism based on a comparison of the plurality of statistical features to the particular algorithm.
