摘要: Provided is a method and apparatus for dynamic cross fading. Specifically, an embedded system can display an image produced from a blend of other images. Initially, a first image and a second image are stored in a buffer in a display controller. Then, the display controller extracts pixels from corresponding locations in the first image and the second image. The pixels are combined with weights associated with each image to perform the cross fade calculation. Consequently, the result from the cross fade calculation is transmitted to a display unit connected to the display controller for viewing. The result can also be fetched during a refresh of a panel in the display unit. In either case, the result is transmitted to a display pipe during dynamic cross fading. Thus, any images stored in the buffer remain unchanged.

摘要: A graphics controller providing for enhanced window control interfaces between a host and a graphics display device. The graphics controller includes a memory, a fetching module and a window translating module. The memory stores at least a portion of the image data corresponding to a first window of image data received by the graphics controller from the host. The fetching module first fetches the first portion of the image data to produce at least part of a first data stream. The first data stream is in a parallel, clocked relation to a second data stream of the image data corresponding to a second window of image data received by the graphics controller from the host. The first and second data streams are provided to the graphics display device for display as multiple windows thereon. The window translating module is coupled to the fetching module and temporally shifts the first fetching to provide a corresponding spatial translation of the first window with respect to the second window as displayed on the graphics display device.

摘要: Provided is a method and apparatus for adjusting intensity values of a frame of image data. Specifically, individual pixels of the frame of image data are processed by logic of a device to produce affected color values corresponding to the color values of the individual pixels. The affected color values are then transmitted to a display pipe leading to a display of the device. Further, the affected color values are not stored in a memory used to store the frame of image data. Thus, the frame of image data remains unmodified. The display pipe receives the affected color values and communicates the affected color values to the display for viewing. A temporary memory of the display that is independent of the memory used to store the frame of image data can accumulate the affected color values for viewing, if the affected color values are not immediately displayed.

摘要: The invention is directed to an apparatus and method for writing a non-rectangular frame to a display device and for animating window transitions. The apparatus comprises a memory for storing at least one parameter for defining a first aperture boundary and a data selecting part. The data selecting part is adapted for comparing the associated coordinates of each datum of a first frame to the first boundary, determining if a first condition is true, and processing each first-frame datum for which the condition is true. The method comprises defining a first aperture boundary, comparing the associated coordinates of each datum of a first frame to the first boundary to determine if a first condition is true, and for each first-frame datum for which the condition is true, processing the first-frame datum. By repeatedly selecting image data for processing, the animation of window transitions may be achieved.

摘要: The present invention provides a semiconductor structure in which different types of devices are located upon a specific crystal orientation of a hybrid substrate that enhances the performance of each type of device. In the semiconductor structure of the present invention, a dual trench isolation scheme is employed whereby a first trench isolation region of a first depth isolates devices of different polarity from each other, while second trench isolation regions of a second depth, which is shallower than the first depth, are used to isolate devices of the same polarity from each other. The present invention further provides a dual trench semiconductor structure in which pFETs are located on a (110) crystallographic plane, while nFETs are located on a (100) crystallographic plane. In accordance with the present invention, the devices of different polarity, i.e., nFETs and pFETs, are bulk-like devices.
