    摘要: A cleaning blade assembly within a printing device is positioned to contact a surface to be cleaned. There is a first opening within the cleaning blade assembly and a first pin within the first opening. There is also a second opening within the cleaning blade assembly, and a second pin within the second opening. The first and second pins connect the cleaning blade assembly to the printing device. The first pin has a first cam surface that is rounded and is off-center with respect to the axis of the first pin. The cam surface is parallel to the axis of the first pin and is positioned within the first opening such that rotation of the first pin within the first opening causes the cleaning blade assembly to move in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the first pin.

    摘要: Disclosed is an image forming method for an electrophotographic photoreceptor. The method provides for detecting a first streak in a first image; identifying the first streak location; shifting a charge device and marking a second image; identifying a second streak location; comparing the first streak location with the second streak location and determining a distance therebetween. The method further provides that on a first pass, charging a photoreceptor with the charge device; shifting the charge device from a first position to a second position along the photoreceptor corresponding to the distance; and, on a second pass, charging the photoreceptor with the charge device.

    摘要: A transfer cleaning station for an electrostatic marking system is provided. In this station, the upper surface of a movable transfer belt is cleaned by a rotating electrostatic cleaning brush (ESB). To improve cleaning performance and conserve space, a grounded conductive brush is placed below an inside surface of the belt so that an electrostatic cleaning field is created between it and the ESB. The grounded conductive brush is located in a previously unused space between two upper rollers in the station.

    摘要: This is an electrophotographic marking system that effectively cleans residual toner and toner additives from the surface of a photoreceptor. This cleaning process reduces ghosting problems that had been encountered in final copies produced by electrophotographic systems such as in copiers, printers and duplicators. This cleaning is accomplished by expedients such as increasing a cleaning brush bias, and by increasing the surface area of cleaning brushes used in the system. In addition, the development process is desensitized to the development of ghosting. This desensitizing is accomplished by expedients such as increasing the gap between the development roll and the photoreceptor and by reducing the AC development electrical bias.

    摘要: A high load low load cleaning blade assembly provided for cleaning a toner image bearing surface includes a blade member having a first edge mounted to a frame, a second and opposite edge for contacting and loading against the toner image bearing surface, and a blade width connecting the first edge to the second edge. The high load low load blade assembly also includes a blade holder for holding and loading the blade member against the moving toner image bearing surface. The holder includes a frame, and a blade loading plate operatively connected to the frame and extending from the frame towards the second edge of the blade for stiffening the blade width and determining a resulting blade loading force of each portion of the second edge against regions of the toner image bearing surface. The blade loading plate includes a central segment having a first plate width for stiffening the central portion of the blade member, and end segments, each having a second plate width less than the first plate width, for stiffening end portions of the blade member, thereby resulting in a second edge having a high load central portion and low load end portions.
