    摘要: With a process and an apparatus for cold-start control in an electronic internal combustion engine system, the combustion chambers of the internal combustion engine are supplied, during starting, with the increased fuel feed. The fuel feed per an ignition interval (TD.sub.n) is effected by a plurality of short cold-start injection pulses generated at increased frequency at linear time intervals with respect to one another in respective ignition intervals. This frequency control replaces the normal formation of fuel injection pulses corresponding to half-periods of crankshaft rotation, during starting, and is cancelled upon commencement of preset fuel reduction thresholds. Owing to the fuel atomisation attained, there results a spontaneously ignitable mixture, so that a cold start is still possible even at extremely cold temperatures.

    摘要: Dispensing units for dispensing items, such as in a healthcare facility, are linked in a network. The dispensing units use a fingerprint to authenticate users. The fingerprints on a short list reflect recent authorization, and permit access without other identifying information. Dispensing units in the network may use different fingerprint scanning technologies, but are made compatible by enrolling fingerprints using the different technologies. Two or more reference fingerprints may be stored at a dispensing unit, permitting either a primary fingerprint or alternate fingerprint to gain access to that dispensing unit. During enrollment of a user, fingerprints for a user may be “fast tracked” for registration based upon a quality determination.

The polyphase oxide coating has a metal oxide phase and at least one other organic and/or inorganic phase. The polyphase oxide coating is produced by bringing the metallic substrate into contact with an organic and/or inorganic component to be integrated into the polyphase oxide coating such that the inorganic and/or organic phases are present at or in the direct vicinity of the substrate surface and by simultaneously or subsequently anodically polarizing the substrate material in an electrolytic solution.
