    摘要: The present invention is concerned with, as a hydrocurable composition, a mixture of an oxazolidine-functional polymer and a compound of a monomeric or polymeric character having a plurality of acryloxy groups. The first-mentioned polymer contains a plurality of pendant groups containing 2,2-dialkyl oxazolidine groups. The mixture of these two components can be stored under anhydrous conditions in a closed container without co-reaction so that a one-pot or one-package composition can be made up with many conventional ingredients of coating compositions other than aqueous components and stored without gelling until the time for application when the composition may be applied at ambient temperature and humidity whereupon reaction between the main two components mentioned above occurs in the film deposited and the film set up.

    摘要: Resin-forming polyepoxides are mixed with polyoxazolidinyl compounds or polymers containing pendant oxazolidinyl groups in which the carbon atom in the 2-position of the heterocyclic ring is substituted with saturated hydrocarbon groups, such as dialkyl, or with an alkylene group forming a saturated ring with the carbon atom in the 2-position of the oxazolidinyl ring to form, in the absence of water, a stable composition which can be stored in closed containers for months without undergoing gelation. When such compositions are spread into films and the films exposed to moisture at ambient temperature, e.g., to ambient air having a relative humidity of at least 20% and temperature of about 15.degree. to 25.degree. C., the polymer serves to react with and cure the polyepoxide.

    摘要: Addition polymers containing a plurality of terminal and/or pendant amine groups in which the nitrogen atom of at least some of such groups is of primary or secondary character, or aldimine or ketimine groups form the main film-forming component in compositions for coating and the like purposes, which also contain a polyfunctional acrylic monomer, such as ethylene glycol diacrylate, with or without monoethylenically unsaturated acrylic ester. Such compositions provide durable films having excellent mechanical and resistance properties even on ambient curing though baking may be used to accelerate the cure. A method of use is also claimed in which the components are mixed in suitable vehicles, e.g. dispersant or solvent media, optionally with fillers and/or pigments, as desired, and after application of the composition, such as for coating, it is cured by exposure to ambient conditions, naturally occurring or controlled, or it is cured at elevated temperatures or by applying a plurality of curing conditions in succession, e.g. first to ambient conditions and subsequently to elevated temperatures in one or more stages of baking.

    摘要: Selected photosensitive compounds activated by deep ultraviolet radiation or x-rays and capable of being employed at very low concentrations in photosensitive compositions are provided for producing thermally stable and aqueously developable, negative images on surfaces. The selected photosensitive compounds are halogenated organic compounds, including 1,1-bis[p-chlorophenyl]-2,2,2-trichloroethane, which generate an inorganic halogen acid upon exposure to deep UV or other short wavelength radiations. They may be used at concentrations of less than 5 weight percent of the total solids content of the photosensitive composition to produce aqueously developable negative images using deep UV exposure.

The microplastic structures are prepared from crosslinkable photosensitive compositions using a specially designed radiation attenuating photomask which permits preselection of the size, length, width and thickness of the desired structure. The microplastic structures are stable at temperatures in excess of 200.degree. C. and can be used as components in miniature electrical, mechanical, chemical and optical devices, such as smart sensors integral to a silicon chip device.
