Abstract:
An automated apparatus for orienting truss plates, and in particular truss plates, such as those greater than 6 inches in width, that are typically formed from a single sheet of steel, comprises: a generally horizontally-disposed platform shelf; first and second receiving channels; a sweeper block; and a reciprocal movement unit for reciprocally moving the sweeper block. The platform shelf, which is positioned to receive truss plates from a truss plate forming unit, has an upper face and a pair of opposed lateral edges. The receiving channels are positioned laterally of a respective one of the platform shelf lateral edges and below its upper face. Each of the receiving channels is sized and configured such that a truss plate falling from the upper face and received therein takes and maintains an orientation in which the backing member of the truss plate is generally upright. The sweeper block is positioned above the upper face. The reciprocal movement means moves the sweeper block transversely between a first position above the first receiving channel and a second position above the second receiving channel. The reciprocal movement means is configured so that the sweeper block passes over the upper face while moving between the first and second positions. The sweeper block is deployed at a height such that it contacts a truss plate positioned on the upper face and sweeps the truss plate over one of the lateral edges into one of the receiving channels. This action is repeated as the sweeper block is moved over the other receiving channel; in doing so, it sweeps another truss plate positioned on the upper face into the other receiving channel.
Abstract:
A social welfare services management method, apparatus, and computer readable medium is provided. The method includes inputting data about entities, linking the entities based on relationship between the entities; and performing a government defined unit of work based on said linking. The government defined unit of work relates to the social welfare services. As a result, a people centric approach to managing social welfare is provided.
Abstract:
An antiseptic cap assembly for use with a connector includes a cap with a base and an annular portion extending from the base. The annular portion defines a first chamber having an open end. The cap is made of an absorbent material. The antiseptic cap assembly also includes a cap holder having a generally cylindrical sidewall defining a second chamber sized to receive the cap.
Abstract:
An eyewear display including a plurality of pods. Each pod includes a pair of opposing sidewalls, a back wall, and a front wall to form a proximal opening. The front wall defines a plurality of apertures for receiving eyewear support fixtures. A base wall encloses a distal end of the pod to form a storage space for holding eyewear stock accessible by the proximal opening. A mounting mechanism attaches to the back wall by a hinge and has at least one mounting clip for coupling the pod to the display mounting fixture. Each pod is selectively pivotable away from the display mounting fixture to provide access to the storage space for restocking the eyewear display. Preferably, in a display position, the plurality of pods are arranged so that at least one of the proximal openings is at least partially blocked by an adjacent.
Abstract:
An antiseptic cap and packaging for use with a connector are provided. The antiseptic cap includes a material containing an antiseptic solution. Upon application of the cap to the connector, the material compresses thereby releasing the antiseptic solution. Packaging of the antiseptic cap typically includes a cap holder and a lid. A user could remove the cap from the cap holder before applying it to a connector. Alternatively, the cap holder may be used to apply the cap to the connector.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an antiseptic cap for use with an access site having a housing with a wall defining a chamber, the wall having a set of threads on an inner surface of the wall; and an access site contacting surface associated with the housing having an antiseptic substance for contacting a surface of the access site. The present invention also provides an antiseptic cap equipped plunger assembly wherein an antiseptic cap is retained within a housing of the plunger.

Abstract:
A processor device is disclosed and includes a memory unit and at least one interleaved multi-threading instruction pipeline. The interleaved multi-threading instruction pipeline utilizes a number of clock cycles that is less than an instruction issue rate for each of a plurality of program threads that are stored within the memory unit. The memory unit includes six instruction caches. Further, the processor device includes six register files and each of the six register files is associated with one of the six instruction caches. Each of the plurality of program threads is associated with one of the six register files. Further, each of the six program threads includes a plurality of instructions and each of the plurality of instructions is stored within one of the six instruction caches of the memory.
